Season 3 Episode 9; Apple Family Reunion Summary from FYI Television "When Applejack is granted permission by Granny Smith to organize the upcoming Apple Family Reunion, she is thrilled at the opportunity but she soon loses focus of the important things in her haste to put together extravagant activities."[3]
Season 3 Episode 9; Apple Family Reunion Did someone say.... ....Applejack? This sounds awesome. Apple family reunions have to be... Right?
"pretty sure that AJ doesn't go crazy" in this episode, and that this episode "should be peaceful." According to Zap2it, this episode will air on December 22, 2012.
It could just be like episode 1 all over again.

The episode was leaked late last night. 1. I ship Applebloom and Babs Seed so hard, Jesus, it was too in my face not to do so. I mean come on, they were hugging, wanted private time alone together, said it'd felt like forever being apart, despite the fact they hated each others guts in One Bad Apple. 2. Braeburn was back! I'm glad he didn't speak, that might have ruined it, as in, put more attention on him than Applejack. He was cute, he was in the background, hats off to DHX Studios for providing a smidgeon of fan service without overdoing it. 3. Speaking of fan service, Applejack got a song! Now I'm going to admit, I thought it was a bit forced, the lyrics were obviously rushed I mean, "1 2 3 4" rhymes with "1 2 3 4"....not exactly poetic stuff. But the beat was good and it caught a good hoe-down feel, I just wish the lyrics were a bit more meaningful and developed, I got the same feeling from the Babs Seed song, however I think Raise This Barn is a bit more guilty. They shouldn't have songs just for the sake of having a song. 4. There was definitely a Christmassy message here, spend more time with your family than forcing it onto a situation i.e. presents and big Christmas parties. And Applejack was a pony who finally wrote to Princess Celestia. Good message, good execution, nice and subtle. 5. Lastly, they kept it as an Applejack episode, no-one interfered. Not Derpy, or Braeburn, or Discord (it would have been a perfect opportunity to throw him in!). I wonder if any other background ponies like Octavia will get their own episode though. All in all, good episode, I have to give it a: 9/10
I had low expectations going into this episode but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really fun seeing all the Apple family again and that cute scene with little AJ. But what was really awesome about the episode was the song. For me that might just be the best song in this season so far. There were also some comedic scenes that actually name me laugh like the Spike lighter and when AJ gets surprised by the lightning. I had fun with it and am excited to see what the Apple family is in store for in the future 9/10
I :O when I saw granny smith pull back her wrinkles to look like young her, the chat went ballistic too. Tho imo I disliked this episode, felt predictable, and the "song" ? Im not even gonna start on that one.
