Very odd. I would have thought that, if there was one pony who could prove that chaos doesn't equal evil, it would be Pinkie Pie.
OK heres how I see it. If Celestia is deseperate enough to try to get Discord to join their side, that means there is something even more meanicing then him over the horizon. That is to say, who or whatever the season 3 finale big bad is, is something that Has Celestia so scared she's going to need both Harmony & Chaos to work together to beat it. Yeah, this is gonna be good. Also, While I love Discord as A villain, if he does "reform" that means he can stay and have fun trolling ponies without having to worry about being turned back to stone, I mean its a win win, he can go around annoying the pants off of people, and all he has to do is help Celestia & co out once in a while. Also the thought of Fluttershy & Discord becoming friends is hillarious.... I can see it now Discord: You want me to help YOU save Equestria? Why should I do that, i'm still mad about that time you turned me to stone Fluttershy: Please Discord: No Fluttershy: Please! Discord: NO! Fluttershy: Oh Pretty Pweety Pweeze! *Puppy Dog eyes, sad lips* Discord: Oh, all right, but you have to buy me a milkshake later. Fluttershy: *big cheesy smile*
Discord already had trouble bending Fluttershy to his will before (giggity). It's only natural that this is gonna be a Fluttershy episode. :derpe:
there has been a rumor in one part of fandom that Discord was actually Star Swirl the Bearded, who, with his magic turned himself into Discord, and that in the episode, he (was offered?) to be turned back into a pony, which idea he didn't like very much. In any way, Discord is best villain.
I adore discord...wish they put as much effort in king Sombra... they better explain properly why Celestia wants Discord to become good, because it doesn't make sense, the way he was that last time. Him being Discord is what makes him interesting.
I think people are looking at this all wrong, again even if Discord becomes a good guy, that doesn't mean his personality will change, he's the spirit of Chaos & Disharmony, that sticks no matter what. The only difference would be his trolltastic powers would be used to aid the ponies instead of harm them. As for why Celestia wants to reform him, its quite obvious there something even nastier on the horizon. Somehting that requires both the powers of Harmony & Chaos combined to beat. Plus Discord isn't really evil, even as a villain he's just an omnipotent prankster. I highly doubt that will change no matter what side he's aligned with. I for one look forward to seeing more of Discord and having him annoy the heck out of the ponies. I bet even Pinkie would get P.O.d by his pranks XD.

The only thing that could make the episode even more amazing would be a duet with Fluttershy and Discord. And why wouldn't Pinkie Pie be interested in giving him a chance? Sure, he made all her friends hate each other, but didn't she like the chocolate milk rain and cotton candy clouds?
Oooooo! I have never been so excited for a season 3 episode as I am about this! Can the comedy duo of Fluttershy and Discord top the antics of TwiSpiPi? Oh please let this one be good, Hub. Please please pleeeeease! This one has to be good! The only way this one could stink is if it's a generic forgive-forget episode. We need details, man! I wanna see Fluttershy's and Discord's personalities clash! I wanna see Discord deal with the frustration of having Fluttershy as a life coach! I wanna see Discord struggle to make his conversation more fluttery. I want some odd couple stuff here!
Princess Celestia has decided that the rambunctious Discord needs to be tamed and commissions the ponies for the job; Fluttershy believes that Discord deserves a second chance but she faces opposition as the only one who thinks so.
