We've all had them, good or bad, dreams can be a wonderful thing. You can do anything you want, be anything you want, see anything you want. Or can you? My dreams are usually random, or, as actual science suggests, based off things that have happened during the day, or some of my subconscious fears. Sometimes you'll remember when you've had a dream, sometimes you won't. But what are your weirdest dreams, or even nightmares? Which ones are the most memorable? Are you a lucid dreamer (which I can tell you from experience is super freaky to try)? My worst nightmare has to be an incredibly realistic dream where I lived out an average morning before going to school, it felt so lifelike and I could use all my senses, aaaaand then a nuke/mushroom cloud/black hole/something really explosive and shocking goes off as I'm walking up a hill. I remember hearing my own breathing and the cold wind before the warm shockwave blasting me back. Freaky. Best dream has to be this really long one I had about being a Pokemon trainer. I've always liked the thought of having a cute little companion following me around on adventures.
I can't say for best and worst, but here are a few that come to mind. Best: I was learning how to fly, as a human. It actually felt like something that could be real and it was a very in depth dream. Worst: One of my worst fears is big underwater holes. http://1amhsk.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/6.jpg (Ugh, makes me cringe just looking at it) I had a dream where I kept getting sucked into one and drowning and I repeated the same thing like 15 times before waking up. It felt all too real. Lately my dreams have been very strange. They aren't that realistic, but they are extremely detailed, and bringing back memories I forgot I even had. I've been having many nightmares since reading "Rainbow Factory" but surprisingly they are completely unrelated. Something in that story must have triggered something.
One of my more hilarious dreams was about a dream (lol) where my house was broken into while I was sleeping. I woke up silently and tried to sneak past the burglars to get help, but they caught me and shot me. Then I woke up--in the dream--and went back to sleep in the dream... and dreamed about my house being broken into again by the same people. The second time I tried using my cell phone from inside my room but they caught me and shot me. Then I woke up again, went back to sleep again, and the same burglars were there, so I tried climbing out through the window. They checked outside because they heard me fall, so I started running, but then they shot me. This went on a good for a good half a dozen iterations or so. I never did get away. XD When I finally woke up in real life I ended up trying to sneak outside the house again. I couldn't tell if I was still dreaming or not. Then I watched Inception. But I don't have good or silly dreams like that one anymore, lol. For the past year I've only had recurring nightmares.
Best Dream: When I was playing a game that crossed over My Little Pony and Doom. Demons and Ponies fighting. Flaming projectiles went everywhere as monsters battled with the ponies. I was playing as Babs Seed and sniping the enemy team with oranges. Worst Dream: Well, sometimes I can lucid dream. This actually happened, and I found myself in a dark house. Using my dream powers, I tried to bring light into the room, but only small candles would appear. Since they didn't light well, I decided to explore the house. That's when I realized it the house of one my friends. One of my friends who died earlier last year. I kept going through the house, expecting to find my friend and maybe have some sort of paranormal or supernatural experience, since I knew it was a dream. I came across a couch and saw someone laying inside a blanket. I called out to my friend to see if he was there. He was. He got up, and the blanket fell to the floor. What I saw will haunt me forever. His arms were gone, only hanging flesh and broken bones remained. His face and body were decorated with open wounds, and I swear I could see his rib cage and the organs behind it. I covered my eyes with my hands and screamed at myself to wake up. I did wake up, and I didn't know what to make of the dream. I haven't lucid dreamed since.
I had a dream i was snowboarding on a ski field 2 days ago and flying over the ski field in a helicopter it was a cool dream
Well i dream a lot normally. The worst dreams are the ones in which i see freinds dying. And there are other dreams which leave me with such a horror i wake up in panic shaking, but cant remember them. I also have some funny or better to say strange dreams. Some days ago i was reading the lord of the rings. And i dreamed about it i was a human in the middle of a huge fight with trolls, orcs and elves. And i also dreamed that a friend of mine was there as a hobbit. Well that was funny, since he is 195 cm (its like 6 feet something) in height in reality and as a hobbit was as tall as my hip
My last nightmare was awful. I was in my bathroom taking a shower when these large, disgusting yellow crab/spider things started dropping from the ceiling. I tried running out, but the bathroom door was locked from the outside. It was so freaky. They sorta looked like this:
Fun fact: Everyone dreams every time they sleep. But it only occasionally happens that you remember a dream after waking up.
It ends up being the same thing. If I don't remember it, it might as well not have happened. So many people talk about dreaming every night, but I don't and it makes me feel left out.
Usually when I dream I give myself the usual supowerpowers, floating, energy blasts , chaos blast (google it) And sometimes I use logic to stop things in their track.
What if you dream about nothing but a dark abyss? I actually thought about keeping a journal about all my dreams I have. I remember 99% of my dreams and I thought it would be to write about them for 5-10 minutes everytime I wake up.
One recurring... thing in my dreams is my legs being overcome with fatigue while I'm trying to get somewhere quickly. I try to run, but it feels like I'm wading through waist-deep molasses (well, it's a bit different, but this is the best I can describe the feeling). Also, I sometimes drop to all fours and start running like a dog, feeling that my legs alone simply can't get me there (wherever that is) fast enough.
Yes, multiple times, it's one of the first dreams I recall, and it's always the same each time- death by impact which wakes me up. Most of them are usually weird in some way- physics don't work the usual way, voices are slowed, color isn't right, interaction with fictional characters. It's always the normal ones that unnerve me though, they either provoke various emotions out of me or I'm killed by impact in some form- cars and heights usually. I've never accomplished lucid dreaming, when I realize I'm dreaming I wake up. I have woken up while my body was still paralyzed, found out holding your breath fixes that.
Weirdest: I kept seeing this old guy on a Harley going full speed on the road in front of my house. He would go over the hill and then he would come back slowly. On the 3rd or 4th pass, he disappeared over the hill and there was a hellacious explosion and parts were flying by everywhere. After the dust settled, I saw Kenny Wallace driving a golf cart from where the explosion was. He drove by me and said, "I guess he wasn't lookin' where he was goin'. HAHAHAHA!" Spoiler: For those who have never heard Kenny laugh... Most Random: I was fighting with Elvis and when he punched me, I remember jumping and waking up. Worst Nightmare: I tripped and got tangled up in some briers and the more I struggled, the worse I got tangled up. What made it truly terrifying was the swarm of spiders crawling up my arms and legs.
I've only ever had nightmares. And I don't care to detail them... because I'd ban myself for the sheer cruelty of them all.
