With season 3 reaching a (very controversial) close & season 4 in the works, I thought it would be fun to ask my fellow Bronies & Pegasisters what they want to see from each character in the next seson... As for me.... What I want to see from... Twilicorn. Lesson Zero Meets Dragon Quest: Basically the way I see it, a great way to start off season 4 would be having Twilight go through some heart-tugging, suspensful Identity Crisis. Having to come to terms that she is no longer as she used to be, fighting the conflict of what she truly wants to be again (a simple unicorn having fun with her ponyville friends) and what she must become (Celestia's successor) Could make for a pretty good tear-jerker, No!? Applejack I wanna see basically more of the same, just AJ being AJ, everyones favorite down to earth, yet stubborn workaholic. Not much else to say. Although I would like to have a flashback about what happened to her & Big Macs parents. I mean the pic abouve shows there willing to do things we always thought about but didn't really expect to see in the show *or least not till the end* So yeah. Fluttershy More Fluttershy & Discord interaction, these two are just fun to see together, and more of the usual fluttershy continuing to overcome her various phobias. Pinkie Pie Maybe see Pinkie Pies Family in modern times, would be nice if they had an episode where her sisters came to visit. Rainbow Dash - More Of Her Wonderbolts Training - Further Developing her "Big Sister" Realationship with scootaloo *maybe even actually adopt her* - Have her reconcile her differences with Gilda - Maybe a Dash VS Lightning Dust episode *have LD come back to get revenge for getting kicked out of the Academy* Rarity - Some positive character development - More of her good Big Sister and generous friend side, less prissy b*tch Rarity - Finally giving her stance on Spike and his feelings towards her (don't keep his heart in a cage Rarity set it free, either tell him off for good or give him a big ol kiss on the lips XD) Spike - More about his heritage *what kind of Dragon Is he* - More fun Spike eps like "Just For Sidekicks" CMC - More Babs - More fun CMC Adventures - Maybe see Babs Manehatten CMC Branch - CMC Starting up Branches All Over Equestria! Other - Trixie taking Twilights old Place as second Unicorn in the group. - More interaction with Background Characters - More fun new villains & old ones returning. And that is what I would like to see out of season 4, how about you guys, what are you hoping to see once S4 rolls around!?
Before every season I read one of these threads, and every time my answer is the same: I don't want to see anything except whatever the writers choose to write. I hate to have to bring up the pandering thing this early in the discussion, but I'd rather not see them doing that, and for that reason I always refrain from posting what I hope to see in a coming season. I'd rather just let them do their thing. Anyway, sorry to be a debbie downer, but it's what I always have and always will say. Well, usually I stick in how I'd like to see the CMC finally get their cutie marks, but I've changed my opinion on that.
@Frost: Fair enough. And yeah I don't think the CMC should get their marks yet either, they needa stay fun adventurers!!! Also, I just realized something with such a big Character change coming up for one of the mane-six. they'll probably have to change the shows opening a bit... Well, to me, on the whole 'CMC getting their cutie mark thing', I like to think of them as the 'Next Mane 6', you know, like this series ends, and is replaced by the same show, just with the CMC as adults+a few more as the new Elements of Harmony after the original Mane 6. Anyways, I hope that season 4 will be when the staff of the show finally find the right formula to appeal to the ever growing older audience while maintaining their roots. And I really do hope we get a new awesome intro like the Italian one, I can barely stand to watch the current intro, it's just so different from the show. To me, it makes it seem like it'll be the same thing as the other MLP generations, when it isn't

Feel free to join in. Ok, Twilight aside, Season 4 needs more Rarity episodes. As for CMC: Cutie makrs = not yet. Save that for last episode of MLP:FiM (it'll have to come sooner or later, but that would be good thing to end it with). Basically, that would be end of G4 and begening of G5 where CMC would be young adults (aka, mane 6 age), and main characters, and mane 6 would be full adults (let's say Mayor Pony age), and would appear as secondary characters, or background characters. However, it's not yet time for G5, and we need more of our mane 6, at least for couple more seasons. Then they can change it. (off topic: interestingly how some shows can keep up their quality: Top Gear is currently in season 19, and they still have top quality as they had in seasons 1,2,3 etc (if we ignore season 17 and season 18 that were little boring))
Well, I'm not calling these "expectations" since they're way too unrealistic, but here's what I wanna see in Season 4: Episode focused on background characters which is also an affectionate parody/shout out to the bronies' tendency to fall in love with "incidental ponies" as well as tropes commonly associated with said characters Derpy episode Moar Rarity episodes Even moar Rarity episodes Moar Octavia, perhaps a speaking role; British accent is mandatory Moar showing off of Applejack's snarky side, she was absolutely brilliant in Hearth's Warming Eve Slice-of-life pisode focused on the princesses' leisure time; Trollestia mandatory Moar interaction between characters which have very little or none at all (e.g. Luna and Applejack) Zecora being a badass Moar of this guy: :Boo: Epic three-part season finale in which it is revealed that the main reason Twilight became an alicorn was so that she lead Equestria in battle against an ancient and unspeakable evil; 2 minutes of exposition, 64 minutes of ass-whupping; all named ponies must be shown being badass, including background ponies and especially Zecora, Trixie and Derpy
Nah I meant me. I'm not posting as a way to passively protest pandering. If no one says what they expect from the show, then there will be no expectations, and therefore, no pandering. Logic doesn't apply to me, I am the Supreme Ruler of the Neighborhood of Make Believe!
I like that quote... may I use it!? Also overall What I really hope for is just more fun pony adventures, specially with AJ, Dash & the CMC, as long as I can still get that i'm happy, Also would be nice if S4 was back up to 26 episodes, but i won't hold my breath on that.

A 3-part special would be epic. Though, I think Derpy has been retconned out of existance, since S3...Anyways, that idea would make a pretty awesome episode.
