Lord Gak nowhere to be found! Advertisements terrible as usual! Cena enjoys Fruity Pebbles! 10/10 Would watch again. First off, SERIOUSLY NO GAK? COME ON HASBRO! But all jokes aside I liked it. This first episode was a little slow and was more there just to get things going but once it got to episode 2, it was the bees knees. Seeing into the past and how Celestia and Luna took out discord as well as their battle was so intense. When they sent Twilight back to Ponyville it seemed a little unnecessary and was just there for filler. What I really liked was how they set up a plot device for future episodes which I am really looking forward to. Discord was a nice source of comic relief and Pinkies comedy seemed a little forced but it had some pretty funny parts. Overall even though episode 1 was lacking, episode 2 more than made up for it! Episode 1: 6.5/10 Episode 2: 9/10
Anyone else catch Discord in the intro!? Overall, very well done! I thought the same thing about AJ as the crocodile hunter!!!

I hope they do more flashbacks. Still need King Sombra and Starswirl the Bearded backstory! I liked the episodes, lots to look forward to and lots of things to poke fun at. And sowing the seeds of Discord? Nice visual pun there. :derpe:
I didn't, actually. All the more reason to watch it again as soon as it hits youtube! There's probably a bunch of background stuff in there you wouldn't catch on a first viewing.

Also... Did anybody else notice that Twilight used dark magic to activate the potion? Zecora specifically said "Alicorn magic" was needed to make it work. Does that mean that her Alicorn powers are dark in nature?
That was just .... so awesome is the only thing that comes to my sleep deprived mind. So much happened that it's hard to process it (no song, booo), but it's wonderful to see more of Luna as well as all the flashbacks into the history of Equestria. The only other thing I can say for certain right now is Pinkie totally stole the show for me! Looking foreword to reading though everypony's comments and perspectives, as well as watching it a couple dozen times more to catch what I missed. Overall looks to be shaping into a heck of a season, and I didn't think I could get anymore hyped! One more thing to take out of it though, remember to always buckle your seat belt when riding your alicorn, safety first.

Really glad they opted for more worldbuilding as opposed to throwing yet another "The world is threatened by a new villain" storyline at us in the season premiere. Loved the flashbacks as well. That mysterious box is interesting. I wonder what it holds? Also, French Maid Discord is best Discord. I am super-excited for this season.
