I loved this episode. I loved the message, the loved the song, I loved the faces. Holy cow the faces Ms. Harshwhinny makes were priceless.
Soo....yeah. Honestly, the fact that Scootaloo can't fly really didn't enter into my head until that episode. I don't think it was a huge question on anyone's mind either, I'm pretty sure everyone just assumed she was too young to fly yet. And now that it has been brought to our (prolly just my) attention that she can't fly and should be able to...they didn't say why she couldn't. And we STILL don't know if she has parents. STOP ANSWERING QUESTIONS WITH MORE QUESTIONS DHX!
Spoiler: Possible spoiler, yo. There was a rumour floating around about a year ago that Scootaloo is disabled. A Security guard asked Lauren Faust questions at a convention, and she apparently said that Scootaloo was originally designed to be Handicapped. I think it's still a possibility, especially considering this; 'Course, it only says that they know whether there is one, not that there actually is one. Nonetheless, if ever Scoots learns to fly, it'll rek my head-canon
Spoiler: Hmm. Of course, it also doesn't say anything about Scootaloo being part of this episode, whether it exists or not. Also, even if Scootaloo wouldn't ever able to fly, wouldn't that just sort of make her a winged earth pony in a world full of non-winged ones? Yeah, some disability...
