SE 4 EP 7 Cute Fluttershy? So I'm not sure this goes in this section, but does could anyone somehow get a pic of Fluttershy right after she *Spoilers* [Stares at the bats?]? She just looks so cute in that scene to me, and I have no idea how to get the shot.
What to say about this episode? Well, I'll start with some of the stuff that struck me as odd. First, there's the song, and I can't say that I particularly cared for it. Also, to me, it sounded more like a villain song and to hear it coming out of Applejack's mouth just felt so wrong, especially once the other ponies chimed in. Then there's Twilight's wonderful plan of "correcting" the fruit-bats dietary habits with a spell. Because, as we can all remember, that one worked so well when she first used it on the parasprites, right? Does she ever learn? Also, I can't help but wonder what the bats will be eating now? Next, we have her conjuring up some... holographic computer screen of sorts, complete with wire-frame and everything... to visualize her theory of how Fluttershy became Flutterbat to the others. Honestly, even outside of how weird it looked, was this even necessary? I mean, nothing wrong with a visual representation of her thoughts, but here, it looked as if Twilight was just showing off. Lastly, there is the "twist" ending. They really do this a lot this season, don't you think? Oooooh, the Pony of Shadows is real, oooooh, the enchanted comic vanished into thin air, oooooh, Fluttershy wasn't completely cured after all, ooooh, ooooh oooooooh... This is still MLP, right? Not "Twilight Zone - the pastel colored edition"? And I do hope that this all builds up to something. Anything. Otherwise, it just feels out of place for me. Now, I know that most of this is just me being overly critical, and don't get me wrong. I didn't actually dislike the episode. Some of it was funny and it was interesting to see them dabble in a "horror" story of sorts, if a very light-hearted one. Also, I'll admit that Flutterbat was quite cute at times. But, out of this season's episodes that aired so far, I have to say that this is my second least favorite one.
Let me bring up an applejack quote from winter wrap up, "but the food we've stored is runnin' out, and we cant grow in this cold" Applejacks orchard is already big enough to fully support ponyville through winter (barley). If the bats kept eating the orchard, the apple family wouldn't be able to supply the town during winter. Causing ponyville to start buying from other places. Combine that with a cider shortage and sweat apple acres having to buy from others during winter and they'd lose their farm before the new trees grow in! So ya, i'm on AJ's side this time. Get the bats, get the bats, make them go and not come back

There's a buton on your keyboard labelled PrtSc which stands for Print Screen. It takes a picture of whatever is on your screen at the time, which you can then paste into a photo editing program (like MS Paint) and then just crop the part of the screengrab that you want. Or you can just google image the words "fluttershy cute" and you'll get thousands of what you're looking for, I'm sure.
My thought about the fangs: she's not still a vampire. It's just a remnant of the transformation, like a scar. "Stop the bats, stop the bats, stop the bats" - when it goes to Pinkie she's smiling and the background is pink while everyone else is frowning and the background is black, that was pretty entertaining. I was surprised RD said "scarecrow" instead of "scarepony," I'm glad they didn't go for that blatant pasting the word "pony" anywhere it could even potentially apply.
I'd be a little bit freaked out if my group of friends decided to bust into song and circle around me chanting things. Ponies have a very odd way of solving problems. "Stop the bats, stop the bats, make them go and not come back"

Good old slice of life episodes are always welcome, and while the "Season long" story arc wasn't even touched upon today, I appreciate this episode due to it's quality! Once again, the pacing was reminiscent of season one episodes! Didn't felt much rushed even at the end and it was overall enjoyable at most points. I gotta say that this episode was lacking in the joke department and not because they were bad... there just weren't many jokes on this one... But they were at least very funny and entertaining ^^ The story is original and the episode had many a reference to past episodes in it! wich were actually a joy to have since they didn't felt just thrown in, they were part of the story and had a revelance to it. All in all, I say this is a solid episode and I give it a 7/10. The ending is pointing out at something... do you think we will ever hear about Flutterbat again in the future? or that was just a silly thing the Hub decided to put in? Musical number was awesome as well, very Tim burton in style.
Is there any joke already about RD being a drunkard? During the first 2 seasons BerryPunch was the drunk pony for the fandom, but RD takes the price for fighting for cider the way she behaves about it.
I liked this episode. Not my favorite of season four, but it was still quite good. The song was kinda meh, but Flutterbat was awesome. Looking forward to see how the season plays out. I hope they do something with the unfinished stories, like the shadow pony and now Flutterbat. It'll be cool.
