It was entertaining but not one of my favorites. It was extremely predictable and although the ponies were convinced they were "cured", I doubt some of them could do what they did because of age and severe injuries. I always hated the idea of placebos so I won some respect for Applejack looking at all the angles before making a decision. They're not the best antagonists but the return of Flim & Flam was good because they hadn't changed one bit, however im surprised they didn't learn they're lesson this time, like Trixie's second appearance. The song wasn't as good as the first one but at least we now had one after a long drought. Best part was Lyra having a large part by being a stingy Simon Cowell. Overall 5 Out Of Ten.
I thought that was a good'un, don't know why but I really enjoy the Apple family episodes. It's good to see them bringing characters back, and snake oil salesmen was the perfect stage for the return of Flim & Flam. Even though it's a concept done a hundred times before in a hundred different ways, just because you know how it's going to end, doesn't mean you still can't enjoy the ride. The writers did a good job putting their unique touches on the story, ponyizing it and keeping it fun and entertaining. It all played out quite well, not feeling rushed or edited for the sake of time, which is always a good thing. Despite all that was in it though, the most memorable thing to me, was the return of Big Macintosh's inflatable duck floaty, I'm sorry but he is just so adorable in that!
Another winner! A really sweet and down-to-Earth episode with a good moral and very little fluff. Not much to say other than well done, writers! 8.5/10
Dear Princess Celestia, The first thing that came to my mind after watching this episode was, "Oh Applejack, you're almost as good as Spike at ruining everything!" So, I guess that's what I learned today. Yours truly, - Dragonbait
Soo, this was pretty good, yeah. Lyra really shone, and Silver Shell is a cool male pony character. Seems we're getting a couple of those this season, what with Sea Breeze and Cheese Sandwich. Seriously, why has nopony mentioned him here yet? I thought he was the best part, Derpy in the audience notwithstanding. The police really need to shut those twins down. Maybe Celestia could... No? No, she's busy eating cake? Okay, never mind.
I didn't care much for Silver Shill. Out of all the characters that have been introduced in those key episodes so far, he was pretty much the most boring one. But other than that, I liked it.
Wait, Silver Shill was an important character? He was just so damn uninteresting that I didn't notice. I enjoyed the episode, but not as much as I hoped I would. I give it a 7/10.
I'm gonna be unpopular here and say I loved this episode a lot and really related to AJ's struggle in it. It's tough to be honest in situations like that, but I've always been a firm believer that the truth is always important, even if it's not easy.
This was a great episode. Film and Flam, Granny Smith, big Macintosh. There have been a lot of apple family episodes this season... I'm not sure how much I like that... I didn't like silver shill... He was a tad boring... Also, how would a quadriplegic pony work? I am kinda glad we got to see a wheelchair pony. It was an interesting way of doing it. Lyra did shine pretty well this week :3 that was probably my favorite part. I was a bit upset that applebloom didn't wear a cute swimsuit... I'm not sure how it would look, but a cute swimsuit would have been nice. I think applejack was completely in character, and that's always nice. Also A SONG!!! It was really bothering me that they neglected music for like half the season... A solid 9/10
