OMG! THE FEELZ!!!! From the previews, I kinda guessed there would be a conflict of interests with the decorating. Funny enough, I'd asked on EqD if they had ever actually referred to the Golden Oak Library by name in the show. Lo and behold, they said it 4 times today! Anyhoo... A couple more things I thought were cool... How about that hair when she was at the spa!? I dug it! And Bulk Biceps as a masseuse... *dies laughing*
OK, either me and Evan are the only 2 who have seen this episode, or you guys must have REALLY hated it!!
I loved this episode. Season Five is off to a great start. Did anyone else notice Spike's Rarity plushie?
I'm really liking Season 5 so far, but the best part for me is that they are successfully showing each character's flaws without making that character obnoxious. I feel like Season 4 suffered from that, so it's good to see that they're keeping this issue in check (so far). The conflict in the episode was incredibly predictable, but the writers did a good job of making the episode enjoyable regardless. Also, Bulk Biceps is best masseuse.
Have to join in saying that season 5 is off to a great start. Really enjoyed this episode, wasn't anything flashy, but it felt like a return to the roots of why I fell for the show in the first place. It's good to see that after all these seasons, the characters still have these butting-heads moments, makes the relationship between them feel more authentic and relatable. Thought the song and the reprise were good, though maybe it's just me, but Dashie sounded a bit odd in her solo parts. I had no idea the official name was the Golden Oak Library, donno how y'all find these things out. Twilight looked pretty good with the different mane style, and her "I'm pancake" was hilarious, imagine it will be around in memes and what not for a while. Everything Pinkie is always awesome, but good to see the party cannons again. Would be funny if they just kept randomly going off during the season. Spike and the Rarity plush though, such a little background thing, but so absolutely adorable, hope it makes a return in a future episode.
It seems like the show staff likes the concept of Sparity as much as I do, now they just need to support Cheese Pie, Soarin Dash and Flashlight as well.
