Can I just say D'AAAAAAWW so cute!
This one was pretty good. They at least tried to resolve the "controversy" (thought it wasn't a "controversy" to me...) that come out of the Season 4 finale for some people (myself obviously not being one of them). I never had a problem with Twilight getting a castle. Her old home didn't deserve to be destroyed, but, villains are mean like that. Either way I liked this one as well. Whether or not it'll make the others who didn't enjoy what happened to Twilight's home getting destroyed and her getting a castle feel any better... well... that's up to those people I guess? That's not the point though. The point is that I enjoyed this episode.
I've been very impressed with the first three episodes, they exceeded my expectations by a lot. I loved seeing all of the callbacks in this episode (I loved that reference to the quills and sofas store)! I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I think I've been noticing a lot more continuity in story and character development in season 5. I hope this will be the case with the rest of season 5, the hype is real
What I learned in this episode - Even though the other ponies referred to the curtains as curtains before (in song even), Applejack still called them, "sparkly window doohickeys". So her short term memory is horrible and she has no idea what curtains are. Good job there, Applejack.
Spike is a child with a crush on an adult. It would be downright creepy if Sparity became canon. Also, RariJack is a much better pairing.
Put yourself in this position: You go over to a friend's house for breakfast with a group of friends. The hostess' younger sibling has an obvious crush on you. Everyone sees that sibling come out of their bedroom with a plushie of you that they obviously sleep with. How do you feel about this?
But if you bat your eyelashes at them and 'persuade' them to help you out using flirty techniques while also calling them your 'favourite', isn't that an incentive for their affections?
