Hey everyone, thought I'd give a little bit of info on what these changes are. This will not be a super detailed post, but I will be showing what is new to the site in its present state, connectivity issues and troubleshooting aside.

    1. We now have a Like system for posts. On the Top Right of someone's post, you can click on the icon that says 'Like' and you will apply that to the post. There is no limit at present to how many likes you can give at one time.

    2. Replying works differently. There is no multiquote option any more. Instead, when you hit 'Reply' on someone's post (again in the top right) it will take you to the bottom of the page and automatically quote that person for your next message. If you want to have multiple quotes, simply go to another post on the page and hit 'reply' and it will add the second quote. No more hassle.

    3. There is a new interface for when you click on someone's username. To their left, you will see a 'B'. This will take you to that user's Blog. If you click on the user's name, this will appear. This will update you on their activity without having to go to that user's actual profile. If you still want to visit someone's profile, merely click on their avatar or their username again.

    4. The Shoutbox. This is the new Chat system temporarily until the Chat gets fixed; clicking on Chat will merely ask you to log in and kick you out. /ALL RULES STILL APPLY TO THE SHOUTBOX AND CHAT. IF YOU SEND WHISPERS, PRIVATE MESSAGES, ETC. THROUGH CHAT OR THE SHOUTBOX THAT BREAK THE RULES, YOU WILL BE DISCIPLINED ACCORDINGLY./

    5. Conversations; If you go back to the interface of someone's profile when you click on their name, you will see a tab that says 'start a conversation'. Click it, and you will be able to create one with a friend/multiple friends.
These work as both Private Messages /and/ a psuedo-group chat. You can use this feature to either talk with someone individually (This makes One-on-One RP's easier to manage for time) or invite a group of people to see it. (The 'Invite More' tab on the middle right.)

    6. New Sidebar. This nifty little thing will let you know what staff are online at the moment of your viewing of that page, as well as let you know if people you are following/your friends are online. It will also let you know who in general is online as well as update you on new posts and threads created. You may also update your own personal status for all to see!

    7. Alerts. If you are replied to or if you receive a 'like' on your post, or receive an award, you will receive an alert. You can click on this alert to go to the post in question. A nifty and welcome feature. (Sidenote: Clicking on your name next to 'Inbox' will allow you to adjust settings manually without having to go to the Options menu.)

    8. Notable Members (Accesible by clicking the arrow beside the 'members' tab) will allow you to see members with various achievements to their name. Most posts, most likes, most points (gained from awards) and Staff Members. This is yet another resource to get in contact with people whom you may not expect, as well as talk with members of Staff more easily.

    9. Watched Forums/Threads. You can now keep track of threads you post in easier than before. Under the Forums tab on the main toolbar, there are 4 new options to choose from.
    1. Mark Forums Read. This will essentially mark all forums as though you have read through them in their entirety. This is merely for organizational purposes, but it's useful to weed out topics that have content you have already seen and want to prioritize new topics.
    2. Search Forums. This feature, similar to the vBulletin system, will allow you to search for content using an in-site search engine. You can search for posts made by individual members or threads with a specific name. You can even search for blog entries, which is new to this search feature.
    3. Watched Forums/Threads. With this feature, you can easily access threads you are watching. Pretty self-explanatory. Threads you post in are automatically watched, though you can turn this off in the settings for your profile.
    10. New BB Codes for creating a post. The stuff we already know is here, such as Bold, italicize, underline, text colour, font size, text font, hyperlinks, removing hyperlinks, smilies, images, videos (now called 'Media') and Insert, which lets you apply raw BBCode,
    spoiler tags
    Strikethroughs
    And alignment.

    • The new codes we have now are lists and indenting. This is considered an 'unordered' list, selectable by clicking the icon next to Alignment and the Numbers List.
The numbered list, as you saw up above, can be used to display things in a chronological order or in order of importance.

Outdenting and Indenting allows you to change the positioning of words on a page without altering the alignment of the entire passage. Outdenting will move text to the Left, while Indenting will move text to the Right. You can use this easily by clicking these icons here.

We also now have an 'Undo' and 'Redo' function. This is pretty self explanatory.

Remove Formatting and Use BB Code Editor are advanced functions that will be delved into at a later time.

There are a few more bells and whistles to this, but those are the major changes. Everything else has either been changed in a miniscule way or has not been changed much at all. Private Messages and Visitor Messages still work the same as well, so no need to worry about that.

If you've any questions, feel free to ask me to do some digging or contact anyone on the moderation team.

KNOWN BUGS/OVERSIGHTS: On Mobile and some other devices, the header image for the site does not appear.
The 10 character limit applies to Forum Games.
    There is no swear filter.
Attempting to log into chat will kick you out; use the Shoutbox for now.
There are some stability issues with some users. This is likely a client-side error; clear your cookies/cache. If the problems persist, notify an administrator.
Not all status updates appear on the sidebar.
If you come across any more bugs or things that seem awry, either let Tyro know or list them in this thread over here. This thread will be constantly updated with details as they arise.

This post was definitely needed due to the lack of knowledge with Xen being alien to people like me who didn't check out what it was like at all, just spent time scrolling and clicking things hoping for an educated guess, thanks for this Saik<3
