Jenny: Nuh uh, but a safe bet would be Abbey with that rifle of hers. Anyway, we'd better save those guys down there.
"Alright," Harland conceded. "But I'm not gonna go charging down there like Galahad; I'll cover what I can from up here." He unslung his hunting rifle and set up behind some rocks.
Jenny: Okay. I'm gonna change tactics and go with Will and John. I'll give everyone the low down on what's happening then when we're ready we go in and save those guys
Harland nodded. "Just signal me when you're ready to advance; wave your arms or whistle or something."
Jenny: will do! Jenny then left to co-ordinate the information between everyone else. After a short while, Jenny could be seen giving a thumbs up to Harland and Abbey who were watching the camp from their sniper positions indicating that the carnage could begin.
Harland started picking off sentries and stragglers with Abbey. He had no scope on his rifle, but he had experience; experience hard-gained over many years and born of limited ammo and a need for precise shots. The Legion foot soldiers were falling easily, their patched together sports equipment no match for the .308 rounds striking them down.
(Lol Abbey's Gauss rifle seems a bit OP By comparison XD) After what seemed like an eternity, Heavymetalbronie finally responded to this post. XD The gang caught the Legion raiders with their skirts down, making their demise inevitable. When all was done and the bodies of the legionaries were looted for their gear, the gang set about trying to release the Vipers
After searching the bodies with the others, Harland sat on a rock as they set about freeing the Vipers. "I still say this is a mistake; they're called Viper's for a reason." He growled. (Might be right there XD There's time for progression though; he might find something better...)
(oh look a 100% condition fat man and an entire crate of HE mini-nukes has just been left lying around in the dirt here. What are the chances of that!? XD) Jenny: don't worry abaht it! We've got insurance in case things go boobs up. After untying the vipers, Jenny got their attention so she could tell them what was happening. Jenny: Hey there everybody! So you mayyy or mayyy not be wondering why we've saved you instead of letting the legion take you away to be their personal chew toys. Well you see because you're normally a pest to the people of the southern mojave, we'd have killed you for your loot and no-one would've blinked an eye at it. However cuz we know the legion's all uncool what with the slaving and the raping and the slaving, we decided to let you all go, and we're only taking most of your heavy equipment. Vip1: over my dead body, a-hole! Vip2: are you mad?! they got one of those brotherhood crazies over there with a minigun! You wanna try and tangle with that?! Vip1: You got a point, but I don't fancy taking on the wasteland with that box of rusty 9mm pistols they left us. Jenny: Well duh, we aren't exactly going to just let you loose with an entire truck-load of fat-men & mini nukes. Vip2: so what are we supposed to do now?! Jenny: anything really. You could join the followers of the apocalypse or the NCR and secure a safer future for yourselves. Vip2: I... I guess it's better than waiting to get shot by an NCR ranger or butthole surfed by a legion centurion.
(Fatman!? Nuuuu! That's my least favourite weapon! D=) "Well, I'd bet good money we'll end up on the wrong end of their guns at some point in the future," Harland rasped, as the supposedly ex-Vipers walked off. "So, are we heading to Vegas now then?" He asked, turning back to the rest of the group.
"Please tell me we're going to sell most of this first?" Harland said, looking at the crate of weapons. "I'm not sure I can carry that lot all the way to Vegas..."
Abbey: don't worry, we'll sell it off as we make our way to Vegas. Get a lot of caps without buying any unneeded supplies that way
"Alright. Mind if I take this?" He asked, pulling a slightly worn looking Anti-Material Rifle out of the pile of weapons.
"Ah, little love and attention, I'll have her firing straight and true as the day she was made," Harland said, cycling the bolt and checking the action before slinging the big rifle over his shoulder. He'd have to find the parts and ammo, but it'd come in handy if they ran into anything hardier than raiders. "Now then, about the division of the rest of this loot..." He rasped, as they started to head back North up the 95.
Will: We'll divide it up equally. And with that the gang set off up highway 95 towards the city of new vegas. They sold and split up the loot evenly as they traveled up to vegas, draining various vendors of their caps with each stop to trade.
Through the various vendors they traded with, Harland had managed to get the parts and .50 Cal rounds he needed to recommission his AMR, but he hadn't had much opportunity to use it; the most exciting thing to happen during their trip so far was a giant ant attack. Still, he kept his eyes peeled as they reached the outskirts of Vegas and headed in towards Freeside.
Jenny: ahh freeside! Sure is good to be back after so long out on the road. Abbey: Uhm... yes.. quite (Abbey's kinda the Rarity of the group albeit without much in the ways of generosity)
