A long long time ago, five houses founded Anime World. Things were once peaceful and everyone was helping each other. However, that all changed after the first war. Some houses ended up ravaged, others were forced to choose sides. Relationships were made and broken. After so many lives were lost in the fighting, the five houses decided to settle things in the central city, named Manga City for the true roots of the group. The arena was reopened and lands were now contested in that City instead of an endless war that would just drive the land to a breaking point. You, fresh off the teleporters, have arrived here. Some of you are a new representative for your house or an independent mercenary. Your job, to fight in the arena. Some of you may get offered to switch houses, or make money fighting for a house. Either way, a large man wearing Knight's Armor is addressing you all. "Alright then. I see the new groups have come in finally. I need for you to come up, tell me what house you are working for, that way we can sort you all before the fights start tonight. ... None of you will be fighting yet, but watching is a good experience for the new people." ((It's a short intro, my apologies.))
Gritting her teeth at the news, Shanota stepped forward with her arms crossed, her gauntlet dwarfing her other arm. "I fight for House bleach, and I'd like to know why the hell we can't fight yet."
The knight would give a slight look at Shanota. "Because the last time we threw rookies into the arena without any preparation, most of them ended up either injured or dead. We do things a bit differently here then you're used to. Fighting in the arena is not the same as regular fighting."
Shanota's gauntlet tightened and hissed as her fist clench. After a few seconds, she exhaled, not wanting to waste energy now. "Fine, whatever. But a fight's a fight, and fighting is what I do best. I'm sure I could handle myself in there."
The man with the iron clad arms looked up at the knight. "I am Severin Kepler, and I fight for House Bleach as well!" His voice boomed in the almost empty arena.
"Alright... follow me then." The knight turned his back to the group, and walked his way up to the massive stone doors that led into the arena. The stone doors creaked open, revealing the massive space of the arena, and the barracks for the 5 houses each placed in a specific spot. He gave a small cough as he began to walk on the stone path leading to the main arena. "Now one important thing. Due to a law made at the end of the last war, only fighting can be settled at the arena. You may see people you don't like and despise. I suggest you don't do anything until you actually get to fight. Some of you probably already know this. Instead of heading to the barracks, we're going to go straight to the arena."
Severin stayed a few paces behind the knight, and observed the other warriors from his house. Most of them seemed feeble. Cannon fodder, the brass in Amestris would call them. Some were decent. Then there was that Shanota girl. She seemed to have potential.
Shanota grinned a little at the prospect of heading towards the arena. She looked over the massive arena, mentally taking in the size, and how big of a crowd that would be watching her fight. "Laws or not, no promises that I won't coldcock anyone who annoys me enough outside the arena."
"I suggest you be prepared for what could occur because of it." He walked towards the arena, walking up the steps to enter. Pulling out a card, he got it scanned as he headed into a 'competitor and allies only area' beckoning the group to continue following him, as he headed up to one of the observation decks. He took a look at the shielded arena, giving a chuckle as he saw that the field looked like a lava scorched battlefield. "Oh, so that's what both of them are battling in. Interesting. I wondered what the arena was going to be for their fight. This should be fun." ((I'm about to throw some filler OC's in next post.))
Severin scoffed. He felt the heat radiating off the battlefield scorching his prosthetics. He had killed children in Ishval because the brass told him to. And now he was off to fight in some war he didn't even care about. Great.
Shanota prodded the shield lightly with her unprotected hand, feeling the heat from the arena on the otherside. She leaned in and treid to get a view of the fighters. "Who's fighting?"
((Cue two random OCs I just made up, no sheets for them yet.)) The Knight chuckled, as he leaned against the hand rail, looking down at the battlefield. "I assume you know the other houses." He looked down at the arena, where one of the fighters had entered the place, wearing a long black coat over himself to cover his features, a red marking on his back. "He's one of the One Piece House fighters. Some of you rely on physical strength. His main weapon is quite an amazing gun. Some say it was passed down to him from one of the leading subdivisions of One Piece. His opponent... well..." He took a look at the other side of the arena, a short swordsman with spiky green hair was just entering, holding a sword behind his back, wearing a normal green T-Shirt and Jeans. The man looked annoyed at the fact he was fighting today, rubbing his forehead. "... He's from the Naruto branch. It's the old sword vs gun battle. I'm sure you who's favored in such a matchup, correct?"
Frowning the at the mention of Naruto, Shanota kept her eyes glued to their representive, waiting to see them beatten to a pulp. Or at least riddled with holes. "Better be the One Peice one." She growled.
"It may very well be. Notice the way the Naruto fighter carries himself. He is not a warrior, simply a man with a sword. But who knows? I've been wrong before."
"I see at least one of you knows what you're alliances are." The Knight continued to lean across the rail. Both fighters were now in the arena, the swordsman stopped rubbing his forehead, getting in a stance, his hand inches away from his blade's hilt as he gave a yawn. "Though you know what they say about judging books by their covers, right?" The tv screens around the arena lit up, red digital numbers appearing on them, counting down from thirty seconds as the arena as both men entered through the shield covering the arena, which flashed a silver color while they went in.
