The owner of the voice threw his fist into the air and roared in victory. The army soon charged forward, sights set on Vault 3... Albus struggled to get his campfire started, though, he was focusing more on the nearby town of Primm, hoping that if he managed to start a fire, nobody would come looking for him.
Not too far away from Albus there was gunfire. "GET THAT THIEF!" shouted an unknown voice. then another voice shouted,but it sounded like a female. "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!" The girl was Ellis and suddenly she saw a silhouette and raced towards it but suddenly one of her pursuers crippled her leg,causing her to trip and skid to a halt next to the person she saw. (Best thing I could come up with.)
Hawega stalked her way down the highway past Primm. With the Powder Ganger's numbers dwindling, many have resorted to frantic raids to gather supplies for hauling it out of the Mojave, resulting in a lot of bounties and contracts on their heads. One by the name Vic Baker was operating in the Primm area. And was her intended target. With her eyes and ears open for any movement, she pressed on before hearing the shouting and gunshots. Quickly, she took cover behind some rocks and peered through her marksman rifle at the nearby campfire.
Ellis panicked and searched through her bag for a gun but one of her pursuers shot at her but they missed,fortunately. But it appeared that her pursuers were an entire group of raiders. They emerged from the trees and a few of them pointed to Album and others pointed to Ellis. "Now sweetcheeks...give me the device." Said one of the Raiders as he squatted down to her level,this one appeared to be the leader. "IF you give it to us we might let you live." Ellis stared at him. (I decided to continue since narrow doesn't look like he'll be replying soon.)
Albus scurried to his feet and quickly slammed an energy cell into his glove. "This ain't gonna be worth it, Albus..." he grumbled to himself, while rushing towards the commotion blindly, he began to wildly swing his arms, pushing away a few of the raiders. "Ave, you gonna help?!" he cried to Ellis, trying his hardest to not get stabbed. In Vault 3, the man with the strangled voice stood above his men, perched high on a mountain of raider bodies, junk, and his own men. "I want three teams of scouts out there now, damn you! I need one stationed at Primm, another in Freeside, and another at Black Mountain. Grab what supplies you need and leave. Do not return until you find that Courier!" he boomed with confidence. Turning to his second-in-command, he chuckled. "You... I want you and 3 spies to watch the Strip. Report any unusual figures near the Lucky 38, entering or leaving..."
Hasewega was able to make out a couple of the raiders through the commotion. She toyed with the idea of letting the situation solve itself. Her marksman lowered at first before she brought it up and drilled a couple of shots into two raiders before ducking back down. Could draw out Baker, she thought to herself.
She saw that because of Album and another ally hiding from somewhere she had a chance to fight as she pulled out a revolver and killed the remaining few. And the revolver was not subtle or silent whatsoever. After the rest were dead she re adjusted her glasses. "If I knew that would happen I would not have gotten that." She pulled out a stimpak and a pipboy. "I don't eleven know what this is!" She said pointing at the pipboy. She sighed as she grabbed the stimpak and used it. She got up. "Well I must thank you..." she grabbed the pipboy and handed it to Albus. "Here. A parent that's what they wanted from me. I don't know why but hopefully you can have more luck with it than me...but just in case can I hang with you for a bit?"
"Arrgh! You terrible bastard!" Duke yelled, firing wildly at the young gecko snapping at his heels. He cheered as one of his bullets found it's mark; as he celebrated however, he staggered backwards, tripped on a rock, and fell rolling down the slope behind him. He came to a sprawling stop atop the body of a recently deceased raider. "Goddamn it! You should watch where you're going man!" He complained, waving his gun threateningly in the face of the corpse, before rifling through his pockets. "Ah ha!" He exclaimed, finding a pack of cigarettes; He lit one up, sat on a nearby rock, and pulled out a bottle of whiskey, seemingly unaware of the other bodies or the young adventurers still standing there.
Ellis saw the stranger and how casual he was but she got close to him. "Who the hell are you?" She pushed him,making him fall off the rock. She also took the cigarettes he took from the raider. "By the way these are mine." She didn't use them but stuffed them in her bag.
"Hujabuhwah!? Who said that!?" Duke demanded, sitting up and looking around, his hat having fallen over his eyes. He took a sip of the Whiskey. "Damn, I miss ice..."
She took the hat off of him. She looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Your completely oblivious..." she sighed. "Well aside from your horrible depth perception that you can't notice people from 2 feet away how are you doing?
"Oblivious?" Duke stood up and stared the stranger in the eyes, "Why'd you say that? 'Cause I'm a ghoul? Are you prejudice?"
"Prejudice? No...you just can't see 5 dead bodies and two people from 2 feet away. So I'm saying that your oblivious." (I'm gonna wait for the others to reply.)
Albus dropped the Pip-Boy and stepped back, arms raised in defense. "I'm not putting my hand in those... devil boxes! One of you take it!" he cried. "And get away from my fire! Go!"
"Whoa!" Duke said, stepping back from Ellis and looking at Albus. "When'd you get here?! You guys really need to stop sneaking up on people."
Hasewega heard the word "Pip-boy" and got up, making her way to the campfire. She could earn a lot of caps giving that to the right person. She casually strolled into the light before picking it, her marksman carbine in hand. "I'll take it."
"Okay then...it's settled...well I found a spare anyways." She saw that album was freaking out. "Dude what's wrong with a pip-boy?"
"...What's a Pip-Boy?" Albus asked, lowering his arms and replacing the dead energy cell in his glove. "Now, uh... As I was saying, either get away from my fire or pay up! I'm not letting the half the wasteland use it!"
Duke reached into a pocket, brought out a handful of caps, and then threw them across the ground in front of the fire before sitting down once more. He patted himself down and produced another pack of smokes; he lit a fresh one to replace the one he lost during his fall.
"Fine." She took out a full handful of caps and gave it to Albus. "There. And just an FYI that thing you were afraid of was called a pip-boy." She looked at the pip boy and then gasped. "Wait! I think I know how this works!" She looked at it from different angles and then she put it on her wrist. "Woah! Awesome! What does it do?" She tapped the screen and buttons with curiosity and excitement. "Sweet! It informs me about my health,my items,and it even has audio files!"
