Hasewega was up and in a crouch, popping shots of with her rifle at and into a couple of the would-be raiders. With their numbers thinned drastically, some of them beating a treaty with a few staying and shooting back.
(Sorry guys. I fell asleep.) Ellis got up from the ground. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" Ellis was blind, bleeding, and completely confused on what was going on. But with her scream she lured two of them to her. luckily she was near sighted so once they got closer to her she could see them. "Oh *squee!*..." she quickly pulled out a knife. And she eused VATS and lunged at them and stabbed them. And then they fell to the ground.
The last few remaining Powder Gangers broke and ran, realising that the group wasn't the easy mark they'd taken them for. Duke took the glasses off the corpse of the one he'd shot.
She noticed that Duke took the glasses off a corpse nearby and she snatched them off him and put them on. "Heh...these Will do fine." She patted him on the back and looked and Dr her bloody knife. "Ugh...I hate having other people's stuff on my stuff." She turned back to Duke. "Hey uh...uhm...What wa-Oh! Duke, patch me up will you?"
"Can do man, yeah!" Duke produced his bag again and pulled two doses of Med-X out. "Here," He said, sticking Ellis with one. "And for the Doctor," he took stuck himself with the other. "Ah, much better. Now then..." He grinned as he set about stitching Ellis up.
Hasewega looked over the bodies of the Gangers, searching for her contract. Luckly none have shot in the face, making it easy to spot her target without his signature glasses. She looked up to see them on Ellis' face. She kept quite, secretly imagining Ellis would catch a few bullets as she scavenged through the bodies.
"Thanks Duke. I'm starting to feel better now." She turned to Hasewaga. "Do you have a reason for bashing my head in with a rifle?"
"You shot my asset." She said flatly, taking some spare caps from a dead ganger's pocket. "He was being used to draw out these Powder Gangers. Him being crippled would make him useless."
"Well maybe if you told me that first I wouldn't have shot him! Or even better, tell me not to shoot him! There are more answers to problems than violence!" She turned back around and sat against a tree.
"You're right." Hasewega replied, pryin a 9mm pistol from another body. "There are more answers than violence. Why did you shoot him then?" She said, offering the handgun to Albus.
"Whoa, whoa. Wait, I was?" Albus asked, taking the pistol. "I never agreed to be anyone's asset! I'm not that type of guy! Not anymore!"
"Quiet Goddammit you're wasting our time!" Duke shouted, attempting to quell the bickering. "We've got somewhere to be ya know!"
"'There are more answers than violence.'" Hasewega quoted as she passed along a hand full of 9mm round to Albus before turning and walking towards the bright lights of New Vegas.
"Ugh. Anyways where did you toss my bullets?" She got up and re-adjusted her glasses and grabbed her revolver from the ground. "Now where my bullets?" She fumbled around through her bag and got them and reloaded her gun.
"Ah, Vegas ain't worth it. Not now." Albus mumbled, placing what few rounds he had into his bag and walking in the opposite direction of Vegas. However, a vertibird soon passed overhead, heading to New Vegas in a hurry, despite its left rotor's constant spewing of smoke. However, after a few miles of flying, it dropped something. Something very large, and very heavy.
"Either something terrifying, or something extremely valuable; or, if we're lucky both!" Duke said, hopefully, heading in the direction of the mysterious object.
Hasewega kept her pace as she walked but began heading towards toward where the vertibird's cargo fell. Hopefully that fool in the group could get offed so she could snag the glasses and claim her bounty.
