Twice have I watched episodes centered around the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Twice i have voiced my complaints about those episodes. And both times, people tried to jutify the other Ponies treating the Cutie Mark Crusaders like dirt. I don't think it was right for Babs Seed to betray the Cutie Mark Crusaders. I don't think it was right for ALL of Ponyville to turn against the Cutie Mark Crusaders in "Ponyville Confidential". I just don't want to see them suffer. So, I'm asking you straight up: do you hate the Cutie Mark Crusaders? If you don't, why do you always try to find justifications for the poor fillies to suffer?
Well I can't talk for everyone but I think the main reason why people criticize the CMC is because most episodes are about a problem and that problem is always created by the CMC. (Note I haven't watch all season four or any of season five) Say "ponyvile confidential" don't tell me you won't react the same way if people put your private life in a newspaper for all to see? Yes most of the stories are not serious but keep in mind this is a family cartoon. What if princess celestia instead of eating cake ha a sex scandal or less serious relationship with a griffin? She would send those little fillies on a journey to the dark side of the moon. I do however believe the ponies of ponyville went a little too far when reacting. "Bad seed" Babs seed as it has been reviled at the end of the episode by AJ was continuously bullied. Now when she was was in Manehatten she couldn't do anything about it but when she goes to Ponyvile she could make a new start, when Diamond tiara and Silverspoon came around and mocked her she started to join with them taunting Scootaloo, AppleBloom and SweetieBelle. I don't blame her, she didn't do all those things out of malice but out of wanting to belong, however that does not mean it was still appropriate way of behaving. Did she acted justly? No, I think there was a better way to handle the situation. I don't hate the CMC (Please excuse any mistakes or any inconsistencies, it has been a while since I have watch MLP.)
No, not at all. I think it's a cute idea for a coming-of-age type story. Their adventures are pretty cute and their episodes have never bothered me... and actually I think they're some of the least annoying episodes.
I think many forget that a LOT of the messes they get themselves into is because of how young they are... that's right.. they are KIDS! The only thing they really "suffered" in the Gabby Gums incident were the consequences of their own actions. And Babs made a bad choice because she was scared and the CMC were only thinking about revenge because they didn't know her story. They are not able to rationalize as well as the older characters because, for lack of a better phrase, they don't know any better. They still have to learn many of their lessons the hard way and often with an older character's guidance.
Yeah, I hate them. The only reason I watch the show is because I like to see them suffer. Because why else wouldn't I have the same opinion as you? Clearly only you have a right to like/dislike a episode.
I wouldn't say I "hate" them... Sure, they make a lot of mistakes and do some pretty stupid things sometimes... But that's really about all I can say about them. I've enjoyed their episodes about as much as I've enjoyed any of the other episodes. So I wouldn't say I hate them. However, I honestly can't say they're one of my favorites either. I'm neutral on them I guess?
I think they suck but I just hate annoying children in general. I would drop kick any child into a swimming pool full of sharks it's not like I would specifically target the CMC.
I really wouldn't say "hate" in my opinion. Yeah sure they screw up a lot. But they're just trying to find their talent.
Welp...I hate them, for many reasons, they're annoying, they mess up everything, they'll never get there cutie mark and also...Cause I just dislike 'em...
I absolutely despise children... but only human children. I think that the tiny singing magical horse kids are adorable. That said, they absolutely deserve most of the trouble that comes their way. I live next door to a nursery. The CMC are nowhere near as annoying as actual children. Not that I hate children, but God they're annoying...
Yup.I kind of hate them. I hate kids.They really mess things up and always force adults to fix the crap they made -.- But they remind me as a young person
Hating is too much, but i'm annoyed and i wish the next episode deals without Cutie Marks as much as possible. I realize the CMC's popularity at the main audience, but i still would have nothing against one CMC episode less and one, lets say, Royal Sisters episode for it.
They're OK I guess. It's just a part of the series - every series like this I think has a group like this. It's kinda cute too.
Not at all. The CMC always have been a crucial part. To me honestly I wish I could have seen the show way back when I was growing up so that I could have learned how to deal with problems better. To me the episodes are all about living with and playing the cards you have been dealt instead of folding. In the episodes the crusaders always try to push themselves and each other to be the best of what they can be.
