Astasia managed to sneak essentially unobstructed with the Heavy gone. As she navigated through the downstairs of the fort, she came across a courtyard with a pair stairs leading up to the second floor of the fort. Not paying attention to her watch, she walked out into the open as her invisibility wore off enough to show an outline of her. A beep was heard from the above, followed by two shots from a sentry gun. Astasia barely managed to avoid the first shot but caught the second with her leg as she darted back into cover.
"Hold on, hold on! " Medic aimed his medigun at Avery. Almost magically, the blood evaporated, her wounds closed, and even her clothing was mended.
Leah got to the second floor and saw the sentry but luckily wasn't in its sight. She lined up the rifle and aimed for the engi's head who was there to make sure his sentry was safe, she pulled the trigger, obliterating his head and then taking down the sentry. "Well, time to get that brief case." Nearby was a hallway leading downwards with a sign above reading "intelligence" she entered and went to what seemed like an office. On it was a blue briefcase hovering just above the ground, slowly rotating. She hesitated and then snatched the case. Then a loud voice blared "They have taken our intelligence!" the pitch was wavering a bit since it was decayed. Leah winced. "Oh...*squee!*..."
The Demoman had a plan. Of course, it was a stupid plan that would probably fail, but it was a plan. After an embarrassing amount of thinking, he began to place sticky bombs on the bridge, carefully hiding each one. Once he was out of bombs, he made his way back to the safes, and gathered gas cans from the "Pyro" safe and the entire "Soldier" safe. He then covered the bridge with gasoline, and placed the safe in the center of the bridge. Demoman then hid inside a barrel, waiting for his teammates to return with the intelligence.
The scout let out a relived sigh and smiled at the medic. "Whew...not sure how ya just did dat but thanks doc!" As the alarm sounded, she rushed a head a bit, turning around and gesturing the man to follow. "Cmon! Everyone else is gonna need summa dat healin magic ya got. Especially if dere's more dudes like dat man bear that shot me up."
Leah bolted towards the bridge running over it and knocking down the barrel and kicking it over the bridge as best she could hoping it would help. "MEDIC! EVERYONE C'MON!"
Mick sighed and followed his teammates. There appeared to a half dozen angry armed men chasing her. Growling, he picked up his minigun and moved across the bridge to greet them.
Astasia made her way back across the bridge while cloaked, clutching her wounded side as she side-stepped the barrel before rushing back inside the RED base.
The Demoman threw open the barrel's lid, coughing. "Ah, Hell! Who knocked m-" White Company soon interrupted him, as the surviving members swarmed the bridge. "DAAAMN YOOOU, RED TEEEAAAM!!" he cried, as the boots of his enemies thundered down on him.
Medic sprinted across the bridge before it could be swarmed by White Company. He touched up everybody's health, and suddenly his medigun was crackling with red sparks. A switch on the gun was flashing the words, "Ubercharge Ready." Not knowing what it would do, he flipped the switch and pointed at the Demoman. "Demolitions Man! Hit the trap!"
Mick used the spray from his minigun to herd the remains of White Company onto the bridge. With his teammates stopping their advance on one side, and him preventing their retreat on the other, the Whites were trapped on the bridge. The enemy Scout attempted to make a run for it, but was stopped short by the sudden and violent amputation of his right leg. Mick strolled over, picked up the man whose leg he had just shot off, and tossed him across the bridge to his teammates.
Leah stopped the Scout as he skid across the floor with her foot. She aimed for one of the sticky bombs underneath the bridge and shot it,igniting the whole bridge in a beautiful explosion. "Now...what should we do with this guy?" She looked around around the rest of her teammates.
Mick made his way across the burning remains of the burning remains of the bridge and joined his teammates. "Secure him and then heal him. We need to find out who sent him." It occurred to Mick that he should probably take a shot from the Medic's magic gun, himself. He was burned quite badly, and had taken no less than two dozen bullets and one rocket.
She did what mick said and tied him up. She stared down the enemy scout and got serious. "If you don't talk...your gonna end up like the rest of your friends that were on the bridge, gotit?" And with that she went hack to her cheery and optimistic mood. "Well,in the mean time I'm gonna go look for anything of use to me that the baddies have." She dropped down to the bridge which was now filled with blood and bodies and started searching for anything of use to her.
Scout would rush to the bridge as well, jogging along side the medic rather than going a head. She wasn't sure how well this doctor guy could fight, and she didn't want to leave him alone with any goons that showed up to find out. Aaand now the bridge was on fire, and a one legged scout was laying on the floor all tied up and whatnot. Geeze, she turns away for two seconds and this happens? She sighed before swinging her bag infront of her and placing the scattergun inside. In exchange, she pulled out her baseball bat and walked over to the downed runner. Avery hesitated a moment as she glanced at the man's leg. The mere thought of loosing a limb like that made her ill, this was the perfect example of how easily something horrible like that could happen. The scout quickly shook off her shock and glared at the tied up runner, holding her bat in an 'i mean business' kinda way. "Alright pal! Get ta talkin! Who da hell sent ya, and why?"
The Demoman soon climbed from the water, soaked to the bone. "[CLASSIFIED]! Ya have to tell me what the hell happened! And who's genius idea it was to throw me on the [CLASSIFIED] bridge!" he muttered, clenching his sword in his hand. "I'm not exactly bloody immortal!"
Astasia uncloaked in front of him and pointed down at the bridge towards the sniper. "I did all I could."
Mick, still waiting on the Medic, shrugged. "We have the briefcase. We have a prisoner. We are all still alive. We won." The enemy Scout wasn't talking, mainly due the fact that I have absolutely no idea what Narrow has planned for this story, and don't actually know who hired White Company. However, as that explanation is a bit too meta, let's just say that he was bleeding out. He did just lose a leg, after all.
The young Gabe Newell put down his comic book, confused. He turned back a page to reread a missed panel. The enemy Scout thrashed around, still screaming his head off about his missing leg. Gabe Newell turned his page forward again, and kept reading.
Astasia delivered her boot to the side of the Scout's head, knocking him out. "If he keeps panicking, he'll bleed out quicker. Also, it will draw more enemies."
