I started collecting Funko Pony Vinyls and have 10 of them in the last 4 weeks. Every one does unboxing videos of everything on youtube but only two people do unboxings of Funko Pony Vinyls and they are little girls. I can't be the only guy collecting these things can I? If you collect them too what do you have so far and what is your opinion on them.
I've got three of the full sized ones (Fluttershy, Derpy, and Lyra) and a mini black-bodied Rainbow Dash. I do like them, but to be honest I think the mini ones are better; they're cheaper, imo they're a better size, and the bigger ones do come with quite a few flaws, they've gotten better, but they're still not perfect. I just wish they'd do a full range of the minis in show colours that weren't Hot Topic exclusives or whatever. The boxes are cool though, and they're definitely a step up from anything Hasbro makes.
What sized are the Black Bodied ones? I have Derpy, Fluttershy, on of the wonderbolts, and another pony I don't remember. Derpy and Fluttershy are sitting on one of my computer speakers.
The black bodied minis are about 2", mine's stood on my car's dashboard, seemed the most appropriate place for Dashie :derpe: - - Auto Merge - - I would kind of like to collect the big bastards, but I can't really justify the cost, or the space they'd take up.
About 5" I think? I don't have one to hand to measure at the moment. - - Auto Merge - - I though you said you had a few?
I know a guy who exclusively collects Funko Vinyls. In fact, I got him a Discord as a present not too long ago.
If I recall correctly it was one of the Hot Topic exclusive ones. However, it was several months ago now & they might not have it in stock anymore. I'd probably check there first, then look at Amazon & eBay if you didn't find it on Hot Topic.
Hot Topic would be something like a 2000 mile trip for me XD Pretty sure I've seen them on ebay though.
I know a lot of guys love them. I also know lots of guys get pony merchindise in general and I think those are some of the best. I'm a female collector but I'm an adult so I don't know if I count for your question or not. I have a bunch of the mystery minis, and in terms of full sized figures I have Big Mac, Cadence, Shining Armor, Spike, and Discord. I like them a lot. Also given the price of those and the fact that you don't normally see them in the standard toy stores, I don't think that line was at all focused on younger audience but was really designed for the more dedicate fans (who are mostly older).
