Ok, hoping someone can shed some light on this for me; What's the deal with the show colour Funko minis? Where do you get them? I've seen them on ebay, but does every blind box have a chance of holding one, or are they some kind of exclusive?
I've seen them on Amazon, I thought they were a Hot Topic thing, cause I've only ever seen the blind boxes in stores(Target). I have the black body Derpy which is the one I wanted, and three others in my attempt to get her.
Yeah, I've got a black Rainbow Dash (who lives on my car dashboard) and I do like her. I think the Minis are a better size than the bigger ones, I'd just like the option of show coloured ones. Don't know where the black body idea came from tbh.
In some cases full colored versions are obtainable through the mystery boxes. Also apparently there were some at Hot Topics or something. These do not exist for every character though, but do for more than I expected. http://strawberryreef.com/Index/BodyType/fim_funko.html
Nice checklist. Still I think I'll refrain from getting anymore. It took me four tries to get Derpy. In her set there was also Doctor Whoove that I wanted. Since that set has come and gone, there aren't anymore characters I think are worth risking the money for. I have Black Body Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and one of the Wonderbolts.
I have seen hand painted custom ones before which didn't look bad. Painting around the cutie marks and eyes would be a bit of a hassle though...
I don't have a pic to show it, but I recently got a glow in the dark Derpy out of my Mini Vinyl Mystery box today.
Lucky you. I was hoping for the glowing Derpy or Doctor Whoove, but after I got the Black Body, I decided to stop trying.
