    I wouldn't consider them the same thing.
    An MLP OC is just a character created to exist in the MLP universe.
    A ponysona is more of a personal avatar, a way of placing a version of yourself in the ponies' universe.

    Even then it'd be weird, coming from a world full of humans. I guess over time I'd adjust but ponies would look a lot different than the cute 2d ones we know of. 3d models already look weird to me, I can only imagine what they would look like in real life.
