So, can I get away with accusing you of abusing a phrase, or is there going to be a double standard to contend with? And how was I supposed to know without being explicitly informed? I didn't want to make an assumption, since that risks turning those involved into donkeys, and not everyone is a fan of that even if they're okay with being another kind of equine.

I feared it was like that. The part of my brain that handles multiple identities was fried back when I tried to handle around two dozen people with multiple identities/personalities, many of them with more than three of themselves in some form or another. Pretty much. That and the only constant with Crescent is change. I can't count how many user names she went through at MSF. Nekid Nikkou is the one I remember most because most of the time she still runs around naked.
