This is a group run choose your own adventure game. The very first player sets up a scenario and gives options to choose. The next player chooses an option (and can maybe give a reason and/or add details to their choice if they want). The player after says what happens as a result of that option and then gives new options. Example: player 1: You live alone in a small cabin by a lake. It is 2 am and you hear a very strange noise coming from outside. It doesn't sound human or machine but you can't pin it to any animal. Do you: a) try to sleep now but investigate your property in the morning b) run out imediately to try to catch whatever is making the noise c) wait and listen silently to see how long it continues. If it goes on for a while THEN you will go out and look around player 2: Option b, but I also be sure to bring a flashlight, my phone, and a knife with me to be safe. player 3: You walk outside with your flashlight and look around. The noise abruptly stops, but then a set of loud scurrying sounds come from a patch of bushes nearby. Do you: a) Stay there with your light on the bushes to see what happens b) run to the bushes and try to look in c) use your phone and call the police well hopefully you get the idea. I'll start. You are a young small town pony who loves to read adventure stories and hopes to someday become a hero. One day when out on some errands you see a flyer on a billboard that reads "Help needed. Some creature keeps steeling my chickens, and leaving behind massive foot prints. Given we don't live near any forests this is very unnerving. Even my cows seem scared. If anyone is willing to start a search for this monstrous beast please come by 103 hooffall lane." Do you: a) Go off on your own to answer the flyer b) Ask around town to see if anyone has further information about what this creature could be c) Try to find others in the town who may be willing to go with you to check this out d) Decide this is not the job for you and continue to wait for another opportunity
a) Go off on my own to answer the flyer. I take nothing with me but the contents of my pockets; my wallet, a cell phone, a small pocket knife, a Leatherman, a Zippo lighter, and a notepad with a pen.
You arrive at a very large farm with several barns. In a few fenced in areas you see some pigs, cows, and sheep grazing outside. On the perimeter of the farm there is barbed wire fence. Towards the center is a gate in front of a path that leads to the main house. The gate is closed but not locked. Do you: a) Circle around the parimeter looking around and yelling out to see if you can get ahold of anyone before barging in. b) Open the gate and head strait to the main house to knock on the door. c) Go in and wander around the field, pens, and barns expecting that someone will be out working on this time of day. d) Don't try to look for anyone, but go in and immediately start some initial investigation on your own.
b) I'm here on business. No time for mucking about. I head straight to the house and knock on the door.
