I thought I heard that one of the WWE superstars was a Brony. Was it a rumor, or is that an actual thing that happened?
I believe Xavier Woods is confirmed to be a brony. He's also an anime fan, gamer, Power rangers fan, and all around 90's kid. There's a speculation that Big E is also a brony, considering In my opinion, I believe he is.
I try playing DOTA 2 with people for once, and everyone either disconnects or doesn't load. This is why I play single player games.
Went to pick up pizza from this new joint that opened in my town, and one of the delivery guys happened to be there when I made a Witcher 3 joke. He asks me how much I like the game. My response: "I sprained my wrist for a week from playing it." I want to think I sold him the game.
Today I decorated a nacho with cake icing. So how was everyone else's day? Not as awesome as mine I'll bet.
I love how the alternate timeline in Life is Strange is just dead whales, poor fashion sense, and your best friend going from crip to crippled.
Kill la Kill finished it's run on Toonami this past weekend. I also watched the OVA online since Toonami isn't airing it for whatever BS reason. It's not that it's a bad anime. Because it's not. It's good. In its own, unique, individual way I guess. I did like it. Don't get me wrong. It's just... I don't know... it seemed to rely too much on people being perverts to enjoy it I guess. Too much fanservice. That's just me though. I still recommend it. Just be prepared for lots of sexually explicit material and lots of fanservice. ______________________________________________________________________ I'm HYPED for Akame ga Kill. I've heard nothing but good things about it. At least apparently until episode 17 or something?
I think sometimes fanservice is supposed to be comedic, which I guess can be fine -- assuming it's actually funny -- but there are plenty of anime with blatant, over-the-top fanservice that definitely lose out because of it. Take Highschool of the Dead, for example. It's basically supposed to be an uncomplicated zombie gore-fest with cliche beat-em-up moments thrown in, and it does succeed in that regard, but it has really awkward sexual tensions in some of the scenes, not to mention the fact that they just drag on and on. I mean, I don't usually skip through anything when I watch shows and movies, but I was tempted to skip some of those scenes just because they dragged so much. How can you justify making sex boring? That's a crime by itself, and to make matters worse, the whole thing stuck out like a sore thumb in what would otherwise have been a very exciting show. Anytime a single aspect of a piece of art is awkward, unlikable and out of place all at once, it's pretty safe to say that it's a bad decision. So, yeah. Fanservice should be done well, lest it become fantorture.
