I'd like for it to stay around a while. Six seasons seems a bit too soon to cut the cord on such a successful show. That said, here's hoping it doesn't pull a Simpsons and go on way too long, gradually getting worse.
It's not that the Simpsons got worse, it's just that they ran out of ideas. There's only so much you can do with characters that never change or grow. MLP doesn't have that problem.
TBH mlp ran out of smoke after Sombra really. He was the last real thing that threatened Equestria. They ran out of baddies, last one was Chrysalis and i can see whats gonna happen to her after this new episode. Chrysalis just keeps invading, getting kicked out, invading, and getting kicked out again. She gives up and becomes good. You just need a OP evil shadow pony to come from a alternative dimension to start causing trouble. That will be season 7. Episode 1- Return of the shadows, evil new character threatens Equestria Episode 2,3,4,5,6- Backstory of how Celestia killed and turned tons of shadow ponies into normal ponies by raising the sun. makes twilight distrust her, also makes luna turn into nightmare moon over the discovery. Episode 7,8,9,10- Twilight fixes everything, forgives Celestia since she didn't actually know about the shadow ponies, does other stuff. Episode- 11,12,13,14- Evil shadow alicorn (Cough Midnight Shadow) manages to block out the sun reducing equestria back into darkness, twilight, celestia and the other mane characters have to find some artifact. probally the rod of light to attempt to stop Midnight Shadow. Episode- 15- Twilight manages to distract Midnight so that Celestia can raise the sun and cause midnight to become weaker, before Celestia finishes off Midnight Shadow. Luna intervines and tells Celestia to give Midnight another chance, since she got one as Nightmare moon. Midnight becomes good and you can now start flogging Midnight Shadow toys for 10$ each.
It's already been confirmed that there's going to be a Season 7. This should probably be locked or something...
