I know right xD But to be honest, I really don't feel as if Spikes place in the show should be questioned. Its painfully obvious that he is a main character, all it takes is watching the first two episodes really. He has been just as relevant and has had just as much screentime as a single member of the mane 6, which really just answers the question alone.
He's not a main character IMO, However he does influence the plot time and again, so he's above the tier of CMC.
I dont know man, people say no but he gets as many episodes as the main 6 do, like two or three each. Plus he saved the crystal empire, like the chosen one or whatever, and hes a big recurring character. like in every episode. Id say he is for sure a main character. either way hes my favorite.
