Not much to explain about this thread, just post little things you'd like and episode to revisit, even if only in a short background scene. For instance, maybe Pinkie puts hot sauce on a pastry, or Spike uses his undereyelids to see underwater. Personally, I'd love to see Rarity using Celestia's jeweled chest, the ones the Elements were kept in, since there's no need for it anymore. She did say she really wanted it after all!
I really liked the running gag with Rarity on the couch. I want to see a little more of that sprinkled sometime when it doesn't appear too campy while still having the right amount of doofy humor to it. As far as serious story goes, I think I'd like to see a callback to Chrysalis (which I felt was slightly nodded to by the changeling attending Cranky and Matilda's wedding, but it still might not happen); assuming they didn't all suffer deaths at extreme velocities, they ought to be alive somewhere, which could potentially give us the opportunity to explore regions outside Equestria.
You and me both. After the Wedding Indecent, it's like they never existed in any point in the show afterward. At least Trixie had one return with the Magic Duel episode. I would love to see Chrysalis a little more. Maybe see her changelings doing mischievous acts to ponies. I maybe the only one, but I liked how Chrysalis was developed for the time she was in the show. Also the cute giggle of her's is to die for.
Yeah, I'd like to see Chrysalis again too. I get that they can't have all the former antagonists return, but she seems far more redeemable than the others. Oh, and Iron Will; I want more Iron Will, I loved that guy!
I had a dream once that Chrysalis used her magic to pose as Shining and Casence's daughter Skyla (who had never actually existed) and fed off their strong parental love. I woke up surprised at how startlingly effective that would be.
That would be a good storyline. Too bad it'd be a bit too dark/serious for the show to actually use...
Funny, I always thought it'd just be too much of a retread of the wedding. In the "episode" as I imagine it, Twilight would hear about them celebrating the new baby, and would naturally be really miffed they never even told her Cadence was expecting (and might notice the time passing doesn't make a lot of sense either). As Twilight frustratedly hurries in for an explanation, she meets the baby and suddenly realizes that it all makes sense, and joins the "parents" in doting on the baby. With those three all out of the way, changelings begin to invade the Crystal Empire, a land suffused with love. It's then up to the remaining mane 5 and Spike to make their way through the invasion, into the castle, and up to the highest room where the controlled royalty and Chrysalis are to try and stop the invasion. But uh, this is getting a bit off topic.
Not sure if this counts as a callback, but you know what else I'd like to see? Hearth's Warming Day. I mean, we know what happens on Hearth's Warming Eve, but we never actually saw anything of the actual holiday! It'd be the perfect chance to expand on the lore, show what the ponies would get each other as gifts (seiously we've seen so many birthdays and like one birthday present) or even show them spending time with their families!
There's A LOT of speculation going around (mostly on Equestria Daily comments from what I've seen) that the episode titled "The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows" may involve... (going to put in spoilers just in case) Spoiler Cadence being pregnant and Skyla becoming canon. Of course that may be what you were referring to.
