ace took it and drank he then put the torches in his bag "i feel really tired" he said before leaning agenst her for support
Max put her hoof around him, helping him stand. "Well then take a nap, you silly goose," She said, smiling and helping him back inside, and taking the now-functioning elevator to the third floor. She helped him down the corridor, and then took him inside his room, lying him down on the bed.
"thanks....." ace said as he laid down he wasnt panting anymore he wanted to kiss her again but didnt "so what are you going to do wail i rest?" he asked
"Oh... I think I saw some interesting medical books in the other room; If you don't mind, I think I'll just read quietly on your sofa until you're feeling rested." Max said, quietly, smiling.
he wanted to make comment about the fact she had her own couch but if she wanted to be with him he wasnt about to argue "ok" he said turning over
"Just take all the time you need," Max said, patting his shoulder comfortingly, "I'll be right next door if you need anything." She smiled warmly, and then left him to rest, curling up on his sofa with a large book on setting broken pegasi wings.
Ace laid there for only a little bit before falling asleep and he woke up around noon Ace got out of bed and stretched before opening his door to go find max
"Hey, feeling better?" Max asked, from her place on the sofa. She'd almost finished her book, and one of the cleaning robots had been in and tidied the room up a bit. She'd stopped it from going into the bedroom though, so as not to disturb Ace's sleep.
"ya i do" he said giving her a warm smile "so whats left on the list exept for the hole in the roof?" he asked sitting down next to her
Max sat up a bit more and looked at him. "Well, this is a hospital, so we need patients!" She looked a little sad. "From what I've seen of this world, there will be plenty of ponies in need of our help; even if they aren't ill or injured, this is a safe place, and I get the feeling that's unusual these days."
"max" he said putting a hoof on her sholder "we need to organize the hospital and lock up the medicine before other ponies come here.....or we could be robbed and then we wont even be able to help ourselves" he wanted to help ponies just as much as her but right now they needed to be smart about this "so ill go see if i can get the cargo lift working for the basement and you start gathering meds....sound good?" he asked
"From what I've seen of the pharmacies, medicine theft was a problem even before the bombs; you can't even get to the medicine cabinets without the proper ID to open the pharmacy doors," Max explained. "And we have the security system too; I doubt anypony would be foolish enough to try and rob us." She sighed. "I understand your concern, but the medicine won't do any good locked in the basement. I can't treat ponies down there, and I can't be running up and down to get the medicines I need, ponies would die waiting for me to get back to them. There's always going to be a risk, but I need to do this, Ace..."
ace didnt like this....both of them had really good reasons to do what they were saying and as far as he could see there was no middle ground (only cause im i love with you) he thought after he sighed "ok...we'll leave them where they are.....but i want to check how secure they are first" he said "but first we need to work on the hole before it decides to rain" he told her getting up "come on....lets go see about some materials at the construction site"
"Yes, that would probably be a good idea," Max said, smiling as she stood up. "Lead on, and... thank you. For agreeing to my plan I mean."
Max nodded and looked around. "What about wood?" She asked, seeing several piles of timber. "Don't we need some kind of framework too?"
ace blushed a bit "y..ya that too" he said before moving the stack of boards to the door and moving on
After a little while, they had gathered all the materials they needed; the insulation was a bit past it's prime, but would be okay if they sandwiched it between two sheets of metal. They had placed everything in a pile by the door, but Max was a little concerned. "Um, Ace," She said, looking at him, "How are we going to get all this stuff over to the hospital?"
he reatched out his hoof and touched her horn "with these silly" he said putting his hoof down as his horn glowed and most of the materials started to move towards the fallen crane "and we should put them here so we dont have to drag them thru the hallways"
