Yeah, but half the fun is trying to see who posts first after the episode airs. That said... WHOA!!! Didn't expect to like this one as much as I did!!! The whole film noir vibe really worked well for me!! Not a lot of tidbits but this episode did just fine without them!!! 8/10!!

Damn. I figured out as soon as they mentioned Rainbow Dash possibly breaking the record that Wind Rider was the episode's villain, but I really wanted to be wrong. He had the potential to be a Badass Grandpa character, which I would have liked to see.
You didn't know, and it's not actually a rule. It's more of a site tradition, to see who can post the discussion thread first after the episode airs.
Yeah, most people like it better when someone makes a thread after the episode airs. Besides, what's the point of making a thread about an episode before it airs? We wouldn't be able to discuss what had happened. Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode a lot. Especially when some of the scenes were black and white like an actual detective movie. It was all good, I give a 9.5/10.
Rarity did fantastically this episode, had me chuckling pretty much the whole time. But looking back, she was kind of the ONLY think good about the episode, and even then only her funny parts. Even if they're great, there's really nothing else about the episode to praise, or even think about. Also, who was the mare that bought the cake...?
I liked this episode a lot. Had no clue that Wind Rider was going to be the villain and Rarity had me laughing with her little investigator inner monologue and her random question about fashion which really wasn't random at all. Who knew Rarity was an undercover detective?! Plus it was also cool to see Rainbow fly with the Wonderbolts like she has always wanted to do. I also liked how this episode was designed with that 1920's detective look in some of the black and white scenes. I would give this episode an 8.5 hooves out of 10. So far it seems every pony by the end of the season will have all of their dreams come true which I think is pretty sweet. Even though we are two episodes into this second half it makes me think everything every pony has ever wanted is going to happen. Excited to see how the rest of the season plays out. I think the "mare" who bought the cake wasn't really a mare. I believe it was just Wind Rider because his scarf got the chocolate frosting on it.
So we're expected to buy that he could disguise himself as a mare with a raspy voice, with nothing more than a hat, sunglasses, and a scarf? ...Are they trying to say that Dash sounds like a dude?
