ace smiled at her and stood up as he grabbed theyre left over food "it shouldnt take me that long....would you like to figure out a way to save the food that has been made or would you like to come down there with me?" he asked as he put the scraps on one tray and went to towards the kitchen "sorry ser but you cant en-" the robot started to say as they approtched the door "military override" he said hoping it worked here too "granted, have a nice day"
Max thought for a moment. "Could we just programme the kitchen staff to freeze any meals they don't serve?" It was the only way she could think of saving food that had already been prepared...
"yes but some items you cant do that with" he said entering the kitchen and wraping what they hadnt ate then started heading to the basement
Max thought again as she followed him down. "What about compost? We could compost the leftover food, and use it to plant fruit and vegetables; we've got water, all we'd need is a room with lots of natural light."
ace looked at his militraized pipbuck "unless winter dosnt happen now well have to wait for spring" he then showed her the month SEPTEMBER "but we could start clearing away a area for when we do" he said entering the elevator
"As long as we keep them warm inside, they should be okay," Max said, thinking back to the small garden they'd had in her Stable. "We could use artificial light if we have to." She sighed. "What I wouldn't give for a fresh tomato..."
ace smiled and moved closer to her as the elevator started to go down "we'll see how it gose with getting the hospital up and running first" he said pressing his flank agenst hers then the door opened and he started to walk out "i have a question"
Max's heart went a bit fluttery as their flanks touched. She coughed and looked at him. "What is it?"
"so now that we are together.....should i move what i own into your room, or your stuff into mine?" he said "cause i know youll want to sleep with me again" he then opened the door to the mainframe and walked in
"Um..." Max blushed, a little taken aback by his forwardness. He wasn't wrong though; she had been planning to ask him the same thing. "I'll move my stuff into your room; I haven't really unpacked yet anyway." She said, as she followed him to the mainframe.
"Hey, do you think you could programme the security system so I can assign it target's in V.A.T.S.?" Max asked, after Ace had been in the mainframe for a few minutes. She'd been thinking about it, and it seemed to her to be the best way to assure their safety if they were to be attacked or threatened in the hospital.
a wire floated out "hoof" he said when she offered it hw plugged it in and a loading screen showed on her pipbuck
After a couple of minutes, the loading screen disappeared, and a Stablecolt mascot appeared, winking at the screen. "Is that it?" Max asked, surprised.
"almost" he said as another loading bar showed up this one saying syncing then it was done leaving her in the main screen "go ahead test it" he said when she entered VATS she could select specific turrets and bots anywhere in the hospital and fire them seperetly
Max nodded as she scrolled thought the menus. "That's very useful; thank you Ace." She stopped fiddling with it, and looked back at Ace. "So... are you almost done here?"
"one sec" her pipbuck made a blip noise it never had made before as a small window poped up in the corner saying 'i synced our pipbucks together so we can talk without being together'
Max frowned. "I thought we could do that anyway..." In her Stable, she could communicate with others via their Pipbucks, but perhaps they had already been synced... She shrugged. She was never very good with computers.
"nope...i was on the military frequency so i couldn't talk to you" he said "can you pull me out, it will just be easier then trying to get out on my own"
"Uh, sure," Max enveloped him in her magic, being sure not to grab anything... delicate, and slid him back out of the mainframe. "We should check on our patient, just to make sure she is still sleeping, and that her wounds are healing, then we can probably call it a day," Max said, checking the time on her Pipbuck and finding it was already late afternoon.
