Ace heart felt like it was going to explode as he stood up and fixed his own mane and straitened his shirt "right" he said follow long her out the door Jay had finished eating quite some time ago. But that was because she was really hungry She was now fiddling with her patent gown trying to get it so it would stop bunching up She was tempted just to take it off and go naked
Max smiled a bit at her fiddling with her gown as she walked into the room. "We can find some new clothes for you, if you're feeling up to it," She offered, seeing that she had finished eating. "I'm afraid you old clothes were too badly damaged to be repaired..." She had had to cut them up during surgery, and the hospital's cleaning system had then burned them.
Jay smiled and nodded "that would be nice....I you don't mind" she told them Ace gave a small frown "what happened to her old cloths?" He asked knowing some uses for old bloody rags
"The hospital's cleaning system destroyed them," Max said, to Ace, quietly. "Can you stand up?" She asked, turning back to Jay, "It's not far to the laundry room, and we can use the elevator, but if you need one we can get you a wheelchair..."
Jay stood up carefully but seamed to favor her right fore hoof by keeping the left one up in the air a bit "I can walk" she said not wanting to be a compleat burden
"That's good," Max said, smiling, but then frowned slightly as she noticed her lifted hoof. "Is your leg giving you trouble?" She asked. She'd been focused on her chest wound, and had completely forgotten to check the mare for other injuries.
"Oh it's nothing probly, it just hurts my chest if I put too much weight on it" she said giving a week smile "I think it's because of the sore muscles there or something" she said really wanting to get out of the gown Ace opened the door to let the mares thru, and would follow them once out the door
Max was still frowning. It was probably nothing, but given the nature of the injury, there was a small chance it could be a blood clot... "Do you mind if I take a look?" She asked, not wanting to leave anything to chance.
"Only if I can take this off" she said refuring to the gown Ace took this time to walk thru the door and wait outside
"Of course," Max said, nodding. "I only put you in it because there was some... disagreement between Ace and I as to whether it was appropriate for ponies to be naked." She waved a hoof dismissively. "But I'm sure you don't want to hear about that. Take it off, and sit on the bed, if you don't mind,"
She did as she was told and once she was sitting she turned to max "Why would it be inappropriate?" She asked wanting to know why the had argued
Max inspected her shoulder, and the area of her chest above her leg. "Tell me if it hurts," She said, before gently feeling and pressing the area with her hoof. "Well, he was under the impression that ponies should only be naked together if they intend to be intimate..." She explained, as she worked, "But he seems to have changed his mind now."
"Well that dose make some sence" jay said "but it's not like you can see my mare hood anytime I'm naked, I'd have to want to show you" she explained even though she didn't have too "And I'm not feeling any pain other then where I got shot"
Max coughed and blushed a little at Jay's explanation. "Um, yes... quite," She said, focusing on her work, and definitely not anything else... "Well, it all feels okay," She said, after a moment, "It's probably just some minor muscle bruising, but I'd like to give you a quick scan later, just to be sure." "We can go and find you some clothes now though," She said, smiling as she stood up again.
She stood up, still favoring the leg "So how did you two meet?" Jay asked as ace re opened the door for them from the other side
Jay then leaned in closer and whispered "and are you two... A item?" She asked Ace raised an eyebrow wondering what she was whispering about
Max blushed and looked away shyly. "That's... personal," She said, still trying to maintain the professional doctor-patient relationship.
"So yes you are" she said smiling as they got to the elevators When they turned around to press the button max could see a slight blush on ace's face
Max coughed again, wanting to change the subject. "Have you thought at all about what you want to do when you have fully recovered?" She asked, looking at Jay again, once they were in the elevator. "We could use some help around here, if you'd be interested..."
