Max blushed a little at the kiss, then walked back over to Jay. "Okay, let's see... I suppose we should go over the basics first," She said, tapping her chin with her hoof a little. "Let's go back to my room, and you can show me what you already know." She lead Jay to the elevator, and to the lounge in her and Ace's rooms. She sat on the sofa, and cleared some books off the coffee table in front of it, before gesturing for Jay to sit next to her.
"Hey," Max said, raising Jay's chin a little with her hoof, noticing she seemed a little downbeat, "Don't worry; I just need to know what you know so that I can teach you," She gave her a reassuring smile. "That's fine, I didn't know much more than that when I started," She admitted, going to the bookshelf, and finding a medical spell guide. She brought it back to the table, and opened it to the introductory exercise page. "Okay, we'll start with a basic healing spell," Max said, producing a small glass jar of water, "Think of your stun spell, but instead of channelling a force, try and channel a feeling of goodwill towards the water. I know it sounds silly, you've just got to do it,"
Max picked up the jar and looked at the contents; pick and clear, not sludgy or grey, as she half-expected. She took the lid off, and hesitantly took a sip. "Perfect!" She said, grinning at Jay. "Are you sure you haven't done this before?"
"Well that's very good," Max said, smiling, "You're a natural, Jay!" "Okay, now try again," She said, after casting her own spell on the jar to turn it back to water. They spent the next few hours practising the spell, the potion getting stronger each time as Jay got better at the spell.
Soon enough she was able to to multipul glasses at once but that hurt her head "Ow..." She said holding her head as she finished doing three cups at once
"Alright, that's enough for today," Max said, patting her shoulder, "We don't want you getting magical burnout." She put the jars and the book aside for another day, and stood up. "That was very good though, I'm impressed! Now let's go and see how Ace's getting on, shall we?"
Jay nodded and pushed herself up and walked with max down stairs Ace was just sitting there putting bipod stands on maxs hunting rifle that way she can aim more accurately when she lays down or has something to set it on
"Hmm, very nice," Max said, looking over his shoulder at the gun. "Doesn't look much like armour though," She joked, smiling.
Ace smiled and turned to her "that's cause it's right here" he said handing her the armored jumpsuit He even fixed the rip in the nee
"Ooh, it's still quite light," Max said, pleasantly surprised as she took the jumpsuit with her magic. She took off her coat, carefully hanging it up for the moment, then wriggled into the jumpsuit. It was light and flexible, and allowed her to move almost as freely as before he'd started. She could feel the metal plates were there, but they weren't digging into her uncomfortably. "It's great!" She said, happily, as she put her coat back on, over the newly armoured jumpsuit. "But how much protection will it offer? I know what I said, but it does seem awfully light..."
Max blushed at that. "I'll... keep that in mind," She said, sitting down, suddenly concious of her vulnerable plot.
Ace smiled and kissed her before he gave jay her armor She jumped with joy as she giggled and put it on
Jay smiled as she adjusted her thick coat and looked at the seam on the edge "Is the armor in the coat?" "Yes your coat is fully armored" ace said smiling
