Alright. So what we have here is a wonderful case of too much gossip, not enough information. There is a lot of haze surrounding the situation, and while the details behind the actual event may be considered more private as Skyborne mentioned, the accusation made as a post on this forum need not be. As far as I know, the people who were not comfortable with the information they got have talked to an admin and sorted that issue out. I would agree that this is a good course of action. If anyone still needs to know, (and I am sadly speaking for them without their direct consent here) They will be able to help you in this situation. I am also quite in the dark as to what happened here, but from what I have gathered, anything related to the working of this site is being worked out by the staff, and that's all I need to know in this situation.
The actual event isn't private though as there are multiple news articles. When I made this topic it was because I was unsure if the news article original posted was accurate.
Er, I think it for this kind of thing is more like a proper job. They interview people and decided on the best person for the job. Voting for someone could end up with someone unqualified for the job.
More than likely someone from the staff roster will be "promoted" to the Admin position. To fill in gaps of moderation people will be asked by the staff whether they wish to join or not, usually by reference of a staff member. Allowing the members of the site to pick would be stupid, not to say people are incompetent, but the aspects of getting along in the staff roster, to counter stuff that happened in the past, mustn't be overlooked. Then there's attendance, effort, helpfulness, that sort of stuff. We'll see in the future who becomes a possible new Administrator and possible new Moderator.
