Jay looked up "Those robots hurt Sammy" she said holding up the teddy bear and her paw that was cut off "I'm trying to help her" she said with tears in her eyes
"Come over here," Max said gently, patting the bed beside her, "Let's see if we can help her together, okay?"
Max took the Sammy and the needle, and wrapped a hoof around Jay. She could feel she was still shaking, and she rubbed her shoulder a little to try and soothe her. "Here, can you hold her paw in place while I stitch it back on?" She asked, softly, looking at Jay.
Jay slowly stopped shaking as she was held by max Jay nodded and held up Sammy's paw and watched her work
It had been a while since Max had used a needle and thread, but she had stitched up more than her fair share of ponies in the past, and she hadn't lost her skill. "I... I am sorry Jay, if I upset you..." She said quietly, not taking her eyes of her work. "You and Ace are the most important things in Equestria to me."
"Just promis me that you'll be thee to help me...ok mommy" she said as she hugged her Her hooves still shaking a little bit
Max sighed and closed her eyes, hugging her back. "I just want what's best for you love..." She said, snipping the thread and trying off Sammy's stitches.
Jay looked at her confused She had been meaning that she didn't want her to leave the young mares side, so she could protect her
Max smiled at her weakly, then lifted Sammy's paw. "There, fixed." If only everything were so easy...
"I love you too, sweetheart," Max said, cuddling her and softly kissing her mane. She still wasn't sure what to do, but in the meantime, she knew they would need the heating talisman, so she cuddled Jay and nuzzled her mane, waiting for Ace to wake up.
A Little bit later ace sat up and stretched before getting fully dressed Jay had led max to the other side of the room where they were going thru maxs old book she had given her
Max was doing her best to explain her notes to Jay, teaching her about the fundamentals of healing magic, and how it works. (Wait, can Jay read? I mean, she was raised in the wasteland...)
((Yes she can read)) Ace smiled and sat next to them "So on this example it's completely wrong" jay asked max
Max looked at the section she'd crossed out, and the note she'd scribbled next to it. "Well... Not completely wrong, but it didn't explain it very well," Max said. She looked over at Ace, the looked at the floor, ashamed.
Ace said nothing until jay saw him and she said good morning "Good morning sweety" he said to her "I'm thinking we find what we need and then leave" he said to both of them
"Yes....until it came to spending the night" he said not sounding upset Jay closed her book and put it in her pocket "ready" she said waiting for max now Ace also needed to get ready
Max nodded, and started packing her bags. "So, where have you looked for the talisman?" She asked, not wanting to stay for any longer than she had to.
