Just because of this EQG moment: Spoiler Everyone seems to think this makes her a princess, but it doesn't. It was only because of her friends magic she could become like this; it's not a natural change. If she were, it would have been said so by any of her friends, but it wasn't mentioned. And then this is another reason people thought so: Spoiler wings and a horn forming from magic aren't signs she's a princess at all, it's just wishful thinking.
Er the later isn't wishful thinking, it's dramatic effect for the song's music video. Do I want her to be a Princess, yes. But I know full well she isn't one. However I wonder if we'll see a princess Sunset in the season finally just cause of the time mucking.
Sunset being a princess Maybe, but she's still wet behind the ears. It took Twilight three seasons to become one, and that time was long and earned. But Sunset has less experience. Comparing the two of them, I believe Sunset should be tutored as Twilight's student instead of Celestia. Who better to teach her than the pony of friendship and magic?
Yeah, because Twilight being blasted with the Elements of Harmony's magic was such a natural ascension to princesshood alicornhood. And she did it all by her lonesome self...
You're assuming that Alicorns have to be princesses. Not all royal ponies are Alicorns, so why would all Alicorns be royal?
Earning that status and form is very difficult for anypony to achieve. But I still think Twilight should be the one to teach her, makes sense if you think about it.
And I still think she doesn't need to be taught. Twilight wasn't really taught how to be an Alicorn. She was taught how to use magic and the Princess nudged her on the path of an Alicorn. I think Twilight has already nudged Sunset on that path.
Not what I meant, Lio. Twilight has proven time and again that she can be a good teacher herself in magic. Sunset is behind twilight so much, it feels to me like Sunset seems to be in her shadow a lot, not much development. But she is basically being taught by twilight and her friends, in a way, she is learning slowly from them. There was no indication she was to become a princess, unless we have a statement saying otherwise, it's all speculation(and there's nothing wrong with that).
