I'm guessing that duck the ratings will probably be a little duck higher than usual, what duck with it being the goose finale and all.
Hi, yes, a season finale's ratings are incredibly important, as they gauge whether or not there is vested interest in continuing with the current flow of the show in question. If a season finale doesn't end well and there is no new season lined up for any TV show, it could result in it not getting any funding/reduced funding than before. Just a heads up.
I saw a twitter statement from a person that works on the show called "Big Jim" who said that he doesn't pay attention to the ratings and we shouldn't either. That's where I got that from.
Yeah, I mean I think some people are forgetting about the many TV series that have been cancelled in spite of generating a large fan-following. I think ratings probably do matter a bit, and we should keep an eye on them and contribute where we can if we care. Right, I see how you could say that. However, when VG contradicted you, you said that you didn't see what the problem is. The problem is that he thought it was self-evident that you were wrong, and it was only your second response that confused me. Otherwise, I can see how you would argue against caring too much about ratings (although I personally disagree). I apologize if this sounds too critical, but it seemed like you just ignored his point rather than providing evidence for your own (not that he did much either).
