Max left the cave and sat next to Ace, leaning against him and resting her head on his shoulder. "The others are all up, they're just getting ready," She said, quietly, looking down into the canyon. She could see the rock she'd hidden behind when the raiders had attacked her, back when she and Ace had first met. She could just about make out the dark patch on the earth, stained with her blood from where they'd shot off part of her ear. She shuddered a little, and leaned into Ace more.
Aces horn glowed and the wood he had gathered lit on fire He then turned to max and nuzzled the side of her face His ear flicking agenst maxs ear that was shot
Max smiled and closed her eyes, nuzzling Ace back, gently; she'd used her healing magic to regrow the tip of her ear, but she still felt it twitch and ache from time to time... "How are you doing, Ace?" She asked quietly, opening her eyes again to look at him, "I know it must be difficult, being back at this cave..."
"I could be better" ace said not saying any more on the subject as jay walked out and sat accrossed from them
Max nodded and nuzzled him a little, making a mental note to ask him about it again when they were alone. "Ah, you're finally up!" She said, smiling at Jay when she sat down, "Ready to get back home?"
"First food then home" jay said with a smile as jessy trudged out of the cave with his hooves dragging Ace then put some food for all of them over the fire "Ya ya ya I'm working on it" ace said smiling back at jay
Max smiled at Jay, chuckling a little, and leaning against Ace as he prepared their breakfast; she was quite hungry, now that she thought about it...
Jessy sat down a little bit away as they could hear giggling from inside the cave Jessy then put a hoof to his face as he began to blush Ace ignored the giggling and kept cooking He was almost done
Max looked in the direction of the giggling, curiously, then blushed a little herself as realised what the two ponies were probably doing. "So... Jessy, is it? What do you do?" She asked, looking back him, trying to drown out the giggling with some conversation.
"....fixn'...." He replied "Can you elaborate?" Jay asked Jessy looked at her confused "Can you explain a bit further then that" she simplified "Oh....I can make, maintain, or fix just about anything if I know how it works and have parts....also good at farmn' " "That's good...I aint much good with a hoe-" ace said before blushing a bit at how that sounded as a moan escaped the cave "I ment...I.....ugh" he said with his cheeks red as he began to let the food cool off
"Well that could be useful; Ace and I were discussing the possibility of growing crops inside the hospital, at one point," Max said, trying to ignore the sounds coming from the cave. How could those two do that in a cave, only a few yards from the rest of them? "With more ponies there, we're going to need some new source of food, the hospitals stores won't last forever." She explained, glancing at Jay, to see if she realised what the other ponies were up to.
Jays cheeks were red and she was fidgeting a lot like sitting in general was uncomfortable She was also looking into the cave confused meaning she hadn't had been given the talk yet That will be fun Jessy nodded as he watched ace pull out some bowls He had made some oatmeal with some of the left over apples Then maxs pipbuck made a alert 'Civilian has stolen an item terminate ignore or contain?' It said as a small screen showed a video feed of the ponie max had beaten up taking some carrots from one of the preservation fridges
Max looked down at her pipbuck in surprise. She fiddled with it, hovering over the 'Terminate' option for a fraction of a second, before nudging Ace, and showing him the screen. "Looks like he made it inside, somehow..." She said, slightly concerned. If he could get in that easily, so could raiders... "Do you have any idea what 'Contain' will do?" She asked Ace, watching the pony chew on a carrot. She didn't want to hurt him, but she didn't want him accidentally disturbing or breaking anything either...
"Max...I reconfigured the scanners....unless he were to attack the hospital or somepony in it the robots read him as non hostel " ace explained "And I think contain would bring him to one of those padded solitary rooms" "What's going on" jay asked as she quickly got up. And looked over maxs should She was trying to get her irritation out of her head as much as posible
"That pony, the one that first turned up at the diner? He's at the hospital, eating some of our supplies," Max explained, looking back at Jay. "What do you think we should do; let him wander around the hospital freely, or contain him?" Max asked, after thinking for a moment; it was important for Jay to learn responsibility, as well as to let her know that she valued her opinion, and Max was interested in what her suggestion would be...
"Contain" jay said as she fidgeted "Jay what's wrong?" Ace asked confused "I-...I don't know" she said as she blushed and more giggling came from the cave
Max selected 'Contain' on her pipbuck, then took her bowl of oatmeal, and turned to Jay. "Do you want to scout down the valley a little way with me?" She offered, handing the young mare her own bowl, "We won't go far, and we'll find somewhere nice to eat our breakfast," She sensed Jay was being made uncomfortable by the two ponies in the cave, and thought it would be easier to take her away from them, than to try and stop them. She'd have to talk to them about it later, but not right now.
Jay nodded without saying a word Jessy looked over at the bowl being floated over to him by ace He gave ace and the bowl a cautioned look before taking it and started eating Ace looked at jay as she nodded at max and realized why she was so bothered He quickly typed on his pipbuck and sent the message to max ' I think she's never been given the talk' he wrote hoping she would know what he ment He also hoped he wouldn't have to do it considering he didn't really know much on mares ((I think we'll timeskip the actual talk so were not flagged But I do feel this will add to just how young she is and add more this is them living in post apocalyptica with normal problems))
Max stood and led Jay down the valley a little way, not so far that they couldn't see the others, but far enought that they couldn't hear them, or be heard themselves. She found a nice sheltered spot at the side of the valley, and sat on a rock, smiling at Jay, and patting the rock next to her. "So, what's up, Jay?" She asked, warmly, taking a mouthful of the oatmeal.
"Down there hurts and feels funny" she almost cryed It had gotten really bad as they walked She then went in a vary hushed tone "and earlier I peed blood and I'm scared....am I going to die?" ((Ts after your responce))
