Max sat on the end of the stretcher, and gave him a small smile. "It is hardly the crime of the century. That food is meant for anypony who needs it anyway, it's just important that it's properly controlled and distributed." She explained, quietly, "You were only brought here to stop you accidentally damaging yourself or equipment,"
"Oh......I...I'm still sorry though.......can I be let out?" He asked quitetly "So why can't we go into that one room?" Jack asked slightly out of earshot of max from out in the hall "Um...." Ace began as they stopped "It was maxs moms room.....if your going to be here don't go in it that's the first big rule" ace explained hoping max didn't mind him telling them "That dose make sence" snow replied as the sounds of hoof steps got louder and closer to the room They were coming to check on max and rain to see if he was alright and wasn't giving max any trouble
Max heard the hoofsteps, and looked back at Rain. "Yes, I'll let you go in just a moment. We found the ponies that were following you, and they seem to be your family. One of them had a picture of the two of you together, does that sound right to you?" She asked, unbuckling his restraints. She was almost certain the other ponies were telling the truth, but she needed to be sure...
Max shrugged slightly, and trotted over to the door. "They said they got out just before it did, I believe," She said, not remembering that part of the journey very well, "You'll have to ask them." She stood in the doorway, and gestured for rain to leave.
Rain slowly got up and walked into the hall "Rain?....rain!" Snow said before she ran to her brother "Snow?" Rain said as he froze in place in the hall way as he began to cry "your alive!" Once snow got to him she hugged rain tightly "of corse I'm alive little brother" she said as she began to cry too
A small smile crept onto Max's face as she watched the reunion, but after a couple of minutes, she coughed politely. "When you're ready, I'd like to speak with you all; we'll be in the doctor's lounge, just down the hall," She said, mostly to the ponies who weren't hugging. She trotted over to Ace, then looked around for Jay. They needed to come up with some ground rules, and a plan for what to do with the new ponies...
"Jay went to bed....I think she's still a little traumatized from the vault" ace said quitetly to max as he kissed her and began to lead her back to the lounge Jessy and jack looked at each other at the request before jessy started to walk being them Snow acknolagded max with a wave of her tail as jack came over to her and rain so he could get them to come with
Max frowned, as she trotted along; something had happened to Jay in the stable? She still couldn't remember anything herself, but she knew whatever had happened was bad enough to cause her to have a mental breakdown, and that thinking about it was dangerous. She wanted to help Jay, but even asking what had happened to her could send her back to how she'd been before... Max shook her head, putting it out of her mind for now; she needed to get these ponies sorted out first. She went into the lounge with Ace, and sat on an armchair, letting the new ponies arrange themselves on the sofas. "I'll try to keep this brief, as I'm sure you're all tired," She said, with a smile that indicated how worn out she was herself, "This hospital is home to Ace and myself, as well as our daughter, Jay, but it is also a refuge, for anypony that needs it. It is my goal to try and help as many ponies as possible, but I cannot do it alone; you are free to stay or go as you please, but if you decide you want to stay here, you will have to offer your support, in some way. We can work out the exact details of who can do what after you've made you decision, but for now, take a day or two to recover; we have plenty of beds, food, and hot showers, but please do not enter any area marked 'private'; the security system will alert me if you do. That includes the doctor's offices on this floor. You can sleep wherever else you choose, but I would recommend the long term patient rooms on the second floor; they are the most comfortable." She thought for a moment, then nodded, satisfied she'd covered most of the important points. "Any questions?" She asked, looking around at them.
Everypony looked at each other before they all agreed that they had no questions "Well I'm going to go take a showe jessy said wanting to feel the torent of hot water flow over his fur Snow and jack kept cuddling there but had heard. And understood what she said And rain sat there messing with his tail
Max nodded tiredly, and stood up. "I'm going to put my coat and overalls in the laundry, then take a shower and a nap," She whispered to Ace, giving him a little kiss on the cheek, "You can join me for as much of it as you like," She smiled to the remaining ponies, then trotted off towards the elevator.
Ace smiled and kissed her lovingly on her lips "I'll wait in the shower" he whispered to her as snow snuggled up tightly agenst jack, who looked tired Rain looked up and around Like he was trying to think of something to do He then sighed and got up and walked towards the rooms max had suggested
Max nodded to Ace, and made her way down to the laundry room. She pulled her blood-soaked coat out of her bags, and stuffed it in one of the machines, not wanting to look at it. She then wriggled out of her overalls, pulled out the armoured plates, and stuffed that in too. She poured in a liberal amount of washing powder, and turned it up to the highest setting. She put on some light green scrubs she found, then headed back upstairs. She was about to head into her room and have that shower, when she changed direction, and knocked on Jay's door instead.
No awnser came for a long time But right before max would start to worry jay cracked the door open "Yes mom" she said She looked like shed been crying a bit and also looked tired
Max nodded, sympathetically; it had been a stressful few days, even for somepony not going through the confusing phase Jay was in. "Well, would you like me to come in?" Max offered, giving her a little smile, "Talk about it?"
Max nodded sadly, and trotted into the room. "We don't have to talk if you really don't want, but when I agreed to be your mother, it became my job to make sure you are safe and happy, and I aim to do just that, as best as I am able. Sometimes just talking about things can make you feel better, but if not... well then I'd like to just be here for you. I love you, Jay, my beautiful daughter."
Jay smiled and hugged max "c-can you have ace make the robots stop showing up in my room?" She asked hinting at what happened to her in the vault
