Max hugged jay back, rubbing her back gently. She didn't really understand why she suddenly had a problem with the robots, but it was an easy enough request. "Sure sweetie, I'll get Ace to do that just as soon as I leave," She said, nuzzling her mane softly. "Was there anything else? Or should I just stop stifling you and give you some time to rest?" She chuckled, pulling back from the hug and kissing Jay's cheek.
Max smiled and kissed her mane. "That's what I'm here for, Sweetie." She said, warmly, "Now, I'll give you some space." She left Jay's room, and headed next door, to her and Ace's room. She sighed and put down her saddlebags, before stripping off her scrubs, and lying on the bed, relaxing for a moment.
After a moment, she rolled of the bed, and after stretching a little, headed into the bathroom, a wall of hot steamy air surrounding her as she opened the door. She really needed a wash, still being covered in road dust from days of travelling, as well as the dried blood on her coat that she couldn't remember the origins of. "Hey," She said, smiling tiredly at Ace, when she found her way through the steam to the shower. "Sorry I took so long, I had to talk to Jay. She wants you to stop the cleaning robots from going into her room, for some reason..."
"You really don't remember do you" ace said sadly Ace was already clean and he grabbed the soap and began to wash max "What in your vault has an abundance of robots that could traumatize somepony" ace said as he scrubbed her mane clean
"Please, Ace... I don't want to remember..." Max whispered, sadly, sitting down in the hot stream of water, letting Ace wash the blood and dust out of her mane, returning it to it's light blue and white colouring. "If she wants to talk to me about it, she can, but otherwise... I think it's better I don't know..." For now, she could ignore the little voices in her head, but if she found out what they were saying was true... Well then it wouldn't be so easy. "How about you, Ace?" She asked, turning her head to look at him, " Back at the cave, I asked you how you were, but you didn't have time to answer."
Ace sighed and began working on her neck "because I don't know anymore With what happened at the dinner and what you attempted at the vault and the fact I can't remember over half my life I'm just on the fence right now and I don't know how I feel" he said, about halfway thru his small rant he stopped cleaning her
Max turned around to face him when she felt him stop, and gently pulled him into a hug. "I'm sorry, Ace, for all I've put you through." She said, quietly. She didn't know what he meant about her attempting something at her Stable, but with her empty holster, and the way Ace spoke about it, she was starting to piece it together. "But... I think I know how to work the deep mind scanner now, so I should be able to help you regain your memories, at least," She offered, hoping it would comfort him a bit.
"You don't need to appoligize I put my self thru most of that" he said giving her a small smile as he hugged her back "And I would love for you to do that" ace said as he thought of what his whole life coming back to him would be like
"Later then, after I've rested," Max said, quietly; she would need full concentration for the procedure, or else risk doing permanent damage to Ace's mind. She hugged him for a few more minutes, then got back under the water and started washing herself.
Ace smiled before taking over washing her again "You sure you don't want to know what happened at the vault?" He asked concerned He wouldn't tell her about her trying to kill herself Or him slapping her But the rest he would if she wanted
Max shook her head slightly, closing her eyes as Ace resumed cleaning her. "No... My mind decided to block those memories for a reason..." She said, quietly, leaning back against him.
"Ok max..." Ace said before kissing the back of her ears and continued washing he body But soon he got to he plot and tail "Max.....you going to moan if I was you here or do you want to do it?" Ace whispered into her ears
Max blushed slightly, and gently moved Ace's hooves around her waist. "Thank you, for asking," She said, quietly, turning her head and nuzzling him, "It means a lot to me..." Leaving his hooves where they were, she finished cleaning herself.
After she was done ace kissed her nose and turned the water off He then grabed three towels Two to dry them off and one for her mane
Max smiled and scrunched her nose a little, took the towels. "Thanks Ace~" She said, as she wrapped her mane and started drying her coat. She headed back to the bedroom and sat on the bed, before sighing and laying back, allowing her damp fur to air dry. "I think... I think it's a good thing, these ponies being here," She said, quietly, "The beginning of the realisation of the dream I had for this place."
"I know" ace said crawling up next to her and laying down "Oh sweet Celestia this bed feels amazing" ace half moaned as he stretched He could fall asleep right here right now
Max giggled and rested her head on his chest, cuddling him a bit. "Mmm, better than sleeping outside a cave, isn't it?"
"My back thanks the bed makers for making a bed that has lasted this long and stayed this good" ace mockingly prased before wrapping her in a hoof and began to let sleep take him
