An interesting possibility for Season 6

Welp, another season has passed and we got a while until the next season shows it's face. So all that's left is to kill time and theorize on what could be, and I have a pretty interesting thought.



Let me ask you a question, who loved the the finale? I know there are already mixed reactions to it, so don't answer. Like everybody else I have certain dislikes about it, and the highest on that list is this: I don't like that they portrayed the mane 6 as the most important thing in the universe. I get it they're the main characters, they are important in the overall story, but this finale blatantly pointed out these specific six ponies keep world in tact.



One thing I liked about the premiere was that it shows the mane 6 aren't always going to be able solve the problem, and therefore it might be best to have other people to rely on in case something like that happens again. However the mane 6 are starting to acknowledge how vital they are, maybe too vital. Basically if they go down all of Equestria goes down. So how can they solve this little issue? And that's where I think Twilight come's up with a plan, which leads to Starlight being her student. There might be another reason that this was the first that comes up in Twilight's mind. After fighting first hand and seeing that she was on par with an alicorn, power like that can be valuable on the side of good, maybe good enough to take Twilight's place should anything happen.



And that's where I transition to the point. What if the next season was about finding candidates for a backup Elements of Harmony? We know the mane 6 can't stop everything by themselves, and Celestia is no help, so it could be best to find other ponies that can substitute suiters for the elements just in case. But these can't be just any random ponies, these have to be ponies, whether ones we already know or maybe even new characters, who fit the elements to a T. These, I believe, should be ponies the 6 met and taught them lessons based on their respective elements.



I'll now state my thoughts on who would be great candidates. First off, we'll start with Starlight. As Twilight's student and her amazing talent for magic, she'd be perfect for the element of magic, especially when she's currently learning the true meaning of friendship.



Next would for an element I can't think of who would fit yet, and that's kindness. Funny thing is Fluttershy hasn't truly taught someone her ways yet, besides Seabreeze who's currently unavailable. This is what I meant by new characters coming in. Perhaps this character can be somebody who's mean and cruel at first until Flutters teach him/her to be kinder to those around them, making them a great suiter.



Now onto loyalty, I think Spitfire would be perfect. Let's face it, the wonderbolts are corrupt. Throughout the series we see that they have bad ways of thinking, like throwing away teammates for the sake of winning. And Wind Rider proves that this way of thinking must've been going on for a while, to the point that Spitfire believes in those ways. That is until Rainbow Dash came in and showed her what it means to be loyal to others. She has learned a lot from Rainbow more than anybody else and that is what makes me believe she would be a worthy candidate.



Next on the list is honesty. For me I think it should be Silver Shill, remember him? I think he has learned the most from Applejack. At first he was kind of a con artist thanks to Flim and Flam, but seeing how AJ using her dishonesty almost hurt someone precious her, and her honesty made her highly respectable, he was so moved that he is willing to make enough money to payback all the ponies he cheated. Seeing that devotion to make an honest living makes me believe he'd be fine for the element of honesty.



Now for laughter. Do I really need to say who? Snips and Snails. You know I'm kidding, Cheese Sandwich. It's obvious he'd be perfect. He is what he is because of Pinkie Pie, his influence, heck he was even considered to be a better partier than Pinkie, perfect for a replacement of her. That's all I can say really, he's perfect for the element of laughter.



Finally, generosity. That would be Coco Pommel. She has learned plenty from Rarity. Thanks to her influence Coco was inspired to be generous to others and have ponies be generous along with her, and leave Suri who made her think wrong about how to make it in the big city. Now she's way better off and is supporting everybody around her. That alone makes me think she's worthy.



If this were the main theme to season 6 I would be happy that they were getting a chance to be in the spotlight and be the heroes. I think they'd be great elements, and it could be handy to have a second pair in case to mane 6 can't cut it. However all this is just an idea. What do you think about this idea?
