"There are enough rooms in this hospital for that; there are whole floors we haven't used yet," Max said, levitating her samples into cold storage. "But we can worry about that later. For now, we need to cremate this mare and the others outside. Dead bodies spread disease, and lower morale."
"Ya" ace said before putting on his duster again "I'll go get the other body's is you want to start on cremation
Max nodded, then carefully lifted the mare onto a stretcher, and wheeled her out to the furnace room. She was thankful of the automated system as the body was fed along the conveyor belt into the fire and she loaded an urn to collect the ashes, but she couldn't help but wonder how many more times she would have to use the machine...
Soon ace returned with five raiders, all dead, he was using two stretchers and his magic to move them in and put them on the belt one by one
Max waited as the machine worked, then collected the five urns. "What should we do with them?" She asked Ace, quietly.
"ya....i dont know.....i dont feel like they should go with the others upstairs.......but we shouldnt just throw them out.........maybe burry them on the outskerts of two before we deal with the other raiders" he sudgested
"Yes," Max said, nodding slowly, "perhaps we could find a park or something..." She placed the urns on a table, then turned to Ace. "I'll see if I can find a tranquilizer of some sort. Can you just check on Jay and the others? Tell them where we're going?"
Ace nodded as kissed her nose "I'll ask snow to check on jay every once in a while to make sure she's ok" he said before he began to walk off
Max scrunched her nose and smiled at the kiss, then walked with him up to the ground floor before heading off to the pharmacy. She unlocked the door and let herself in, then quickly found what she needed. She felt a pang of guilt as she picked up the familiar vial, it being the same tranquillizer as she'd used on all those ponies in her Stable... She pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind as she put the vial and a syringe in her coat's pockets however; they wouldn't help anypony, and this time she intended to use it for good. She locked the pharmacy again, and then headed up to her and Ace's room to put on her overalls and get ready.
snow and ace were standing next to theyre, and jays, room "pretty much just periodicly knock on her door and see if she needs anything" ace finished as max came within ear shot "ok....should i check on her now, sence im here?" she asked happily.....like she was happy that she was being rusted with such a big responsibility and was excited to show ace that she could handle it "i had checked on jay right before getting you....i think you should wait at least an hour" ace sudgested snow nodded before seeing max "hi max"
Max nodded and smiled politely. "Hello... Snow." She said, needing a moment to remember the mare's name; one of the many problems with living in a Stable was that you never had to remember any new ponies names. "If she's still feeling... ill, make sure she takes the medicine I gave her," She said, smiling slightly, "And don't let her tell you she doesn't need it."
snow nodded "got it, make sure she takes her medicine reguardless of what she says" snow repeated "you know snow.....from what im seeing here i think you would have made a great foulsitter before the war" ace said to her as he moved over to max "well that would have been hard.....i was only a foul myself when it happened" she said back (i ment if it had ended a diferent way) ace thought before looking at max "ready to go?
"I am," Max said, double checking her bags. "When you check on Jay... tell her I love her," She told Snow quietly, before blushing and quickly walking off towards the elevators.
snow nodded as ace and max left to the elevators once the doors closed ace looked at max "do you think shell do well foulsitting jay?" he asked unsure of himself
"Jay's pretty tough for her age," Max said, quietly, "She doesn't really need foalsitting, just... a little supervision," She said it to reassure herself, as much as Ace, but she did believe it. She was very proud of Jay.
ace smiled and looked out at the door before it opened he then pulled out his sniper and cocked the gun before walking to where the urns were and grabbed them and put them in his saddle bags "ready" ace said to max
Max looked down at her own empty holster and frowned slightly. "I seem to be short a weapon," She said, quietly.
ace looked at her and thought for a moment before taking out the hunting shot gun he had been carrying he handed it to her and gave her the ammo "well its not best at range but it will work" ace said not telling her that her pistol was probably still in pieces in her vault
Max took the gun with her magic; it was a bit heavy, but it was better than going out into the wastes unarmed. "Thank you," She said, nodding, "Hopefully I won't have to use it."
