As if on cue, on of the less-advanced roboponies suddenly entered the room, carrying a sleek silver flight-case. It set the case down on the table, then left again. "Ah, here it iz!" Marae said, happily, opening the case and revealing a lightweight and sophisticated-looking air-powered rifle, as well as a few dozen empty darts.
Ace looked at it gave the darts to max and kept the gun "So are we bringing the pony back here?" He asked, ready to leave
"That's the plan," Max said, nodding as she filled a few darts with the tranquillizer she'd formulated, "If we can find one, that is." "I shall prepare a suitable room," Marae chipped in, cheerfully. "Thank you," Max replied, smiling at her, before turning back to Ace. "Is there someway I can contact the hospital on my Pipbuck?" She asked, "I don't think we're going to make it back tonight, and I want to check on Jay..."
"No not really.....though you can check the cameras to see them.....but contact isn't available" he said sadly as if he should have figured out some way to do that before leaving
"Oh..." Max said, chewing her lip a little in worry. "Well... I'm sure she'll be fine," She said finally, as much to convince herself as anything, "She's not a filly; she survived for years in the Wasteland before she even met us, right?" She looked to Ace, her eyes still betraying her concern.
"Max....if your so worried look up the cameras on your pipbuck....maybe she's in view of one of those"
"You think? I mean, I don't want to invade her privacy..." Max said, chewing her lip a little more, then finally nodding. "Okay." She sat down, fiddling with her pipbuck for a minute or so, then managed to remember how Ace had showed her how to access the hospital cameras. She frowned slightly, and started to flick through, looking for Jay...
She finaly got to the camera for the hallway infront of they're bedrooms and saw jay laying on one of the benches that doted the hallways She seamed to be taking a nap with her stuffed animal
Max smiled at that, and stroked the screen lightly with her hoof before turning back to Ace. "Alight, let's go."
Ace smiled as he saw jay too He then nodded to max and re picked up his stuff and began to walk to the doors "See you in a few marae" ace said to marae as they left
The robopony nodded and smiled pleasantly, then set about preparing a room as they left. "So... which way do we head?" Max asked, as they stepped out into the cold evening air, "Do we... watch out for smoke or something?" She blushed, slightly embaressed by her ignorance in proper tracking procedure.
Ace put his hoof to his lips "First rule about tracking....make sure our quiter then your target" he whispered as he lead her back home "And because all the hoof prints are not gone from yesterday we can use the snow"
Max nodded, making sure not to make a sound, and keeping her eyes peeled as they trotted along. She was glad of her new coat though, snuggling into it as they headed into a freezing fog.
After about an hour of following tracks They finaly found the ones that were the raiders And after a few minutes of following that they came accrossed there camp It was a collapsed school Unbenounced to them these raiders didn't hang bodies like normal one Although you could see the blood stains that dotted the area From the road they could see one raider as of right now She was asleep with some sort of catapult in her hooves and some egg she'll like things around her "Dang it" ace said recognizing the thing in her hooves
"What is it?" Max whispered, crouching low in the snow, trying to stay out of sight, "She's asleep; isn't that a good thing?"
"Vary....cause she's holding a mini nuke launcher" he said as he began to pull out the tranquilizer "She might be the best one to take"
"Mini nuke?" Max repeated, with a slight gulp, "That doesn't sound good... She carefully pulled one of the darts out of her bag and floated it over to Ace. "It will be most effective if you hit her in the neck," She whispered.
"Think huge explosion" he said as he took aim His horn glowing as the mare was enveloped in blue Then he shot and hit her neck She began to fall over but ace stopped that and began to float her and the mini nuke eqquipment over "Get ready to help.....her armor is heavy" he said his voice strained
Max nodded. Her levitation magic wasn't very strong, but she added it to Ace's anyway, and together they soon had the mare laying at their hooves, launcher and all. "We should probably go before any of her friends miss her," Max whispered, glancing back at the school, "But I don't think we can levitate her the whole way... Maybe if we took off her armour, you could carry her?"
Brave began to pull her armor after nodding to max but soon stopped "She's naked under it" he said as he sighed "I'll just carry her" told max as he lugged her over his back , leaving the lancer and ammo for max
