a strange tale (Cerali and Shade)

He takes aim and tosses the dart, hitting the target way off center

 

"hm.... you're rather unsteady. I find most ponies are, though."

 

"Yeah I was never any good at it."

 

"I've always had a steady hoof, and a good aim." she said, trotting to the next game, which was a strength test

 

He follows her to the next game. "I should to at least a bit better at this one."

 

she shrugged, stepping aside to give him the first turn.

 

He steps up to the strength test. Preforming the task of the game, he gets a little over three fourths

 

Xaryl smiled faintly. she had become quite strong over the years, living in the everfree. she made her attempt, and reached about the same height as shade


(I'm toning her down a bit. only in hindsight do I realize how distinctively maud-like she is......)

 

"Wow. Not bad," He comments with a smile

 

she shrugged. "not my best. onwards?"

 

"Yeah...sure." He replies slightly surprised at her statement

 

she trotted calmly through the park. "you could easily get lost in this place..." she mused

 

"Yes, I suppose you could," He says while looking around

 

she shrugged and looked at the ponies in the park. "......there is a surprising amount of pink here." she said, not really looking surprised.

 

"Well supposedly, it's a fun color"

 

"I never understood that. midnight blue would be more 'fun' in my opinion"
