I just re-watch the episode, I forgot to say I loved when the butterfly hit the obstacle at 10 : 13. It did well to me to laugh. I found derpy at the end of the dong ; thank for your clues ^^. Somepony know if there will be other easter egg like this ? (It makes for me thought at the alien in South park)
Yes, yes indeed. One complaint: In all reality, Scootaloo would have joined the contest. She would have probably dressed up (as a chicken). Can anyone else see just how many funny moments this could create???
I had money bet that the pet was gonna be a turtle, I loved this episode for that and the new song :3
It was worth the wait for the song, that was awesome. Tank is the new best pet. Also, does Rainbow Dash know what a sneeze is? Eagle screeches - gesundheit. Twilight says "Tenacity" - gesundheit. Rarity actually sneezes - ...... Nothing!
Did anypony else notice Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy during their song? They had these awkward smiles that kept popping up and bothering me a ton. I found a little something about it on the internet.
I just got around to watching this episode tonight, and I have to say. I am utterly happy the tortoise won. As most of you know... I like tuwtles.
I loved this episode. It's a Rainbow episode, which is always good (she was being a jerk for a lot of it, granted, but that's part of her charm, and it's not like she's completely without humility), it has a Flutterdash duet (which is overtaking Winter Wrap Up as my favourite MLP song), Tank the tortoise is brilliant, we got to see Gummy again, there was what appeared to be a 127 Hours reference, Rainbow wore shades AND a cap at one point, Opal was as terrifying as ever, and there was an incredibly lame eel-related pun. What's not to like? I particularly liked how RD was clearly a bit scared about flying through Ghastly Gorge, but was still trying to ensure that the contestants didn't freak out too much about it (she kept stopping to let them catch up, for example, and warned them about the Quarry Eels). As much as I dig Tank though, I still want to know where he's going to live. I mean.... he can't walk on clouds, due to not being a pegasus (unless Twilight uses the spell on him that she used in Sonic Rainboom), and, even with his propeller thingy, would never be able to keep up with Rainbow Dash. I hope it's not just a case of him being a moral victor and then disposed of as a character.
Fluttershy's spazzout was sooooooo cute! I'm not a fan of musical numbers at all, but the song wasn't too bad. But this episode left me with an overwhelming desire to smack Dash round the back of the head. LoveandtolerateLoveandtolerateLoveandtolerate You just know the winning pet should have been the falcon, and it should have been wearing a pickelhaube and a monocle. (Nope. I don't read any stories. None whatsoever.)
Best episode EVER! I love this episode so much for so many reasons. The song was great (a perfect first song for the season), the message was really good, Tank was really funny, the race was epic, and there are many other things I liked that I'm not going to bother listing. There are so many I don't see the point.
