So, since I like computers and stuff. I'm curious. What specs are you currently running in your PC? (assuming that anyone here likes computers and/or built their own lol)
    Mine
    CPU - AMD FX8350 oc'd to 4.5ghz
    RAM - 16gbs DDR3 1600mhz
    MOBO - Gigabyte 970A-D3P
    GPU - ASUS R9 290 4GB
    HDD - 2, 1TB Western Digital Blue
    SSD - 120GB Kingston SV3000 Series
    PSU - EVGA 80+ Gold 650Watt

I'm looking to upgrade my computer here in the near future with another R9 290, though they are quickly becoming hard to find. I've noticed that in some newer titles, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, I get significant frame rate loss on high settings. Can't have that. Need to max out all the games. I'd need a beefier power supply as well. Why must things be so expensive?

Ok, let's see if I can remember everything out of the top of my head....
    • CPU: Intel Xeon E1230v3 quad core hyperthreading @ 3.3 GHz
    • RAM: 24GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz (4k video rendering needs more than 8GB so I bought another 16gb kit ^^)
    • GPU: Radeon R9 270x
    • HDD: some random 1TB HDD
    • SSD: two 128GB SSDs, one for linux and one for windows
    • PSU: Some PSU 530 Watt
    • Optical Drive: Blu-Ray read/write
    • Monitors: Three 1080p 22.5" screens

My PC is overkill for webdeveloping xD

Then again, depending as what you count as "your rig" I'll have to add some more, as I don't only use my desktop PC alone:
    • Banana PI with 2TB HDD attached for automated backups
    • Raspberry PI with Wolfson Audio sound card for a centralized sound-system
    • Self-Soldered soundmixer to be able to playback sound from my desktop and my Raspberry PI easily
    • Cables & Plugs & stuff so that I can easily plug a second monitor into my laptop giving me a total amount of five screens to use

Mainly just your main PC is what I'm talking about. I'd kill to have 3 monitors. I've only got 2, and am constantly needing more space for all my random crap. Especially when recording game play. It sounds kind of like your actual set up is crazy complicated. I had enough trouble getting my stuff to function properly with my audio interface, let alone with custom made parts and PI's

Yeah, my desk setup is kinda crazy, it holds four monitors, docking space for a laptop, sound mixer, sound amiplifier, ethernet swtich, wifi router, usb power hub, normal power outlet thing, and probably other stuff I just forgot. Cables everywhere, I had to come with with some intelligent cable-management system so that it won't just be one huge mess, heehee.

As for the three monitors, they are rather cheap ones, only like 80-90€ each.

I'm using an old discarded bank desk, so I've definitely got the space for more monitors. I don't have the cash lol. I'm sort of picky and want my monitors to all be uniform. Unfortunately, mine both cost around 240€ so I doubt I'll be adding another one any time soon.
