Shoka sighs and flips to a fresh page, and jots down a few runes, and reads them aloud in an ancient tongue. There was a brief flash of light, and nothing harmful happened, however, it did create an area around Shoka through which sound could not enter. It was a makeshift spell, and not on an actual tome, so it would only last a few minutes. But a brief respite couldn't hurt.
(Celeste) *pulls out tome* *uses Despitoron (Level-4 anti-respite magic) on Shoka's respite barrier* Nah ah ah.....
Shoka) I'm FIFTEEN. FIFTEEN. I haven't even been CONSIDERING... you know, THAT, with the war going on.
Shoka) I don't care! The point is, it's not happening! (Want to do a time skip to the next day, maybe get some action in?)
-Nohrian Border Zone, Norther Hoshidan Mountains, right outside the Hoshidan Army Base Camp- Iguru) We've been marching for hours, Hinoka, when are we going to get to the camp?
Iguru) Easy for you to say. You've been riding your pegasus the entire time. Iguru spots the hidden camp just a mile away. He takes out his canteen. Iguru) Well, shouldn't be far now. A little liquor to loosen the muscles couldn't hurt. He takes a swig out of his canteen. Iguru) Clancy, Hinoka? Would you care for a drop or two?
Iguru) That was cheap Nohrian Lager. Might as well have been swill. I'm an adult, Princess, I'm responsible. Anyway, I took the liberties of installing some defense at the camp, I'd think you'd be interested.
Iguru walks into the far edge of the camp, where many wheeled carts with holes in them are being constructed. Iguru) THAT, Princess, is a hwacha.
