"Damn!" Chrysalis yelled. "Go search for him! I'll deal with the other prisoner!" Star gulped. Chrysalis was no doubt angry about Star's escape a year ago, and she was likely looking for revenge.
he looked around, realizing he was on a ledge about fifty feet up, directly above Chrysalis. "well then..... I could dive bomb her" he mused
Chyrsalis opened the pod, and guards jabbed at Star with their pikes. "Ow! I get it, I'm going!" She said. She followed Chrysalis, taking in the layout of the hive, planning escape routes.
Star kept on following, until they reached the throne room. Along the way, she noticed a small ditch that was big enough for both Solon and herself to hide in. That would be useful. She felt heat radiating out of the ditch. Solon must be hiding in there she thought. "I just hope he's ready to spring a trap."
he waited until they stopped just inside the throne room before teleporting over to them, disposing of the guards with gouts of flame and grabbing star before running. "any idea how far down we are?"
"Pretty deep below sea level, but I know a few short cuts!" Chrysalis was chasing after them angrily, with a swarm of guards behind her. Star leaped onto a pod. "Find one and tug the cord on top, it will pull us up!" She said, before doing the same to hers, which carried her up extremely quickly.
he blinked, then shrugged and found one, jumping on it and tugging the cord. he laughed as he shot upwards
Star jumped off and landed on a nearby catwalk. She caught her breath for a moment while she waited for Solon to do the same.
Star dashed off to a wall, and peeled back the membrane coating it, revealing a hidden room. She pulled Solon into it. "Now we wait for them to pass by."
The guards ran by, and Star waited for about a minute before peeling the membrane back. "That hallway leads to a dead end. I was thinking placing some fire traps here. Could you do that? And make them BIG"
he smiled, his horn glowing. "gladly" he said as runes were etched into the ceiling. "when they pass by, they'll be incinerated."
"Okay, the exit is nearby! This way, come on!" The two ran up a long spiraling tunnel leading to the surface. When they reached the top, Star could faintly hear the sound of an explosion. "I could feel that from here. Nicely done."
"The clearing where the flowers usually grow is right up ahead. We sent the hive into disarray, we can stay in the forest for a while longer. Come on."
As they approached the clearing, more sunlight was able to make its way through the canopy. Star plucked a few of the purple flowers from the ground and put them in her saddlebag. "All right, we got what we came for, let's head home."
