Raven nuzzled Nightshade's side. "Let's just leave this be, hon. He tries anything stupid, just let Silver and Holly tear him apart."
*"Comparatively yes. That is true. But it could be worse. Think Tartarus on Steroids multiplied by Infinity. Bad Stuff. Anyways I'm going to get back to working on your gift. That is if you want something?"*
*" I don't want to leave with you holding grudges. I want to try to bring Knowledge, Wisdom, and through those Happiness. Although I might be going about it wrong and using the exact thing i want to prevent, the extreme."*
Raven sat at the booth, shielded her mouth to prevent lip reading, and spoke very quietly. "I didn't wanna tell the others. That Architect guy is making me uncomfortable. If he's hard-assed about an execution, how's he gonna act when he finds out Maya doesn't really have a liquor license yet, or I got a piercing without parental consent? Fool wants to take somepony down."
*" One last thing, I do care about all of you. I don't want bad things to happen to you all. I may seem like a hard ass, or like I'm being mean, but I'm trying to help, in my own way. But again I may be going about it wrong. Let me know if there is a way I can improve."*
She sighed. "He's certainly full of himself, isn't he? I wouldn't worry too much. He doesn't have nearly as much power here as he'd want you to believe. As for Maya's license, I can help with that. The mare who blacksmiths for the Guard is married to the brother of one of the ponies on the Liquor Control Commission. I can't do today, since it's Sunday and all, but I could make a few calls tomorrow and see about getting it fast-tracked."
"That'd be awesome. Maybe she can ditch that fake one. I promise, knowing her, it is all safe to drink."
"Thanks, Saber. Hey, think you can try to talk Arch out of trying to take down Holly and Silver? For his sake, y'know?"
"I might be able to persuade him. Anypony happen to know what he likes?" she said the last part to the whole bar.
"Timey wimey stuff? Look, maybe we've been harsh on him. I'm sure he means well, just... I dunno, I feel like he could attract trouble."
"Comming right up!" Saber went and got the drink, and when she came back, she asked, "So, do you know what Arches favorite things are?"
Azrael sent out a signal with his horn. Minutes later, Skydust walked in carrying a kama in his magic. He set it down between Raven and Nightshade. "Hey, baldy!~" Raven ruffled the spot where his mane would be. Dusty took it like a champ, having no real reaction. "Hello, Raven dear. Nightshade. Your cutting tool."
"Thank you." Nightshade gave the weapon a few experimental swings, then threw it at the back of Silver's head. Silver caught the weapon easily, and gave a quick study before dropping it into his bag. "I'll drop it off at Moon's later. You want the usual?" "Yeah. Tell her I'll be in to pick it up Friday."
