That's the thing, though. She wasn't trying to destroy the world. She was trying to destroy the Mane Six's friendships. She had absolutely no idea that the two were connected, and she stopped what she was doing when she found out what it would cause.
That's a pretty bad excuse though. I really don't want to talk about this anymore... it's bringing me down...
Season 5 is on Netflix! I know cuz I gots the Netflix!! Unless you is talking about season 6, in which case, its not going to be on Netflix for a while.
*takes androgyne oil and turns back into a guy* OK!! Now that THAT is out of my system... PONIES ARE BACK, BABY!! I really enjoyed this episode!! Loving the conflict in Starlight's head and the fact that Sunburst had similar reservations during the reunion. And of course, there is the baby!! It was like Pinkie's Cake twins experience on steroids!! And that freakout moment with Spike!! Looks like Sparky's rubbed off on her assistant. Couldn't help but start humming "Circle of Life" when they all started bowing to the little princess!! Overall: 7/10 for this fun little ride!!
Not bad at all. While I would have liked to see a new villain, it was cool to see the series go back to its roots. What I'm wondering now is if Crystal Ponies were ever a separate race at all, or if they were just normal ponies with a cool magic special effect.
If the Crystal Heart didn't have an effect on Sparky and the crew, I'd say they were an ancient race. That IS a bit of a bummer.
Oh the new season started? Well some of us can't see it!! Don't spoil any part of it. Or at least tag it as Spoiler Spoiler Like so
The main villain was the baby all along. I should have known. I'm mostly confused as to how everyone is taking the fact that the child's gestation period was 11 months, and the pregnancy was only just announced at the end of the last season. How has Starlight been Twilight's pupil for almost a year without knowing her way around the castle? Has anyone actually grown since then? Has the series had any sort of continuity at all? I blame Hasbro trying to sell another toy.
Selling toys is the whole point of the show. Also, Cadence may have been halfway through her pregnancy at the time. Or close to its end. She's an alicorn so she may have cast a cloaking spell so it didn't show. IDK, just riffing some ideas.
I'm going back to working weekends and I'm going to have too many DVR recordings to watch on Sundays. So I decided to get myself to get used to doing it on Saturdays instead. What am I talking about? I watched the premier today of course. Instead of on Sundays like I normally do. This is for the best since I'll be working weekends again after this weekend and I'd might as well get used to it. How I feel about this should be quite obvious. However, either way, for obvious reasons I will put in spoilers. With a simple warning: Read at your own risk. Because this shouldn't surprise anyone. In fact, most probably won't like this. So either read it and then ignore it and don't respond to it, or don't read it at all. Spoiler Oh look. It's NOT REEDEMED character. NOPE. GO AWAY NOW. She's not going away... this is going to be a LONG episode... I'm waiting for content I don't have to ignore... NOPE. STILL NOT FORGIVEN. GO BACK TO YOUR HOLE AND ROT IN IT. Don't teach her anything. She doesn't deserve it. Still waiting for content... Part of me begins to hope she FAILS. Crystal Empire. The baby alicorn that I decided to overlook because it was took cute to hate. Yep. Still feel that way. Her magic is... scary... Plus she can fly. As a baby. I now feel sorry for Scootaloo. STOP SHOWING NOT REDEEMED CHARACTER. STOP EXPECTING PEOPLE TO FORGIVE HER. God... I was FORCING myself through this. I'm not even kidding here. I hate FORCING myself to do ANYTHING. Sunburst is an interesting character. However her excuse for everything she did is still ridiculous. I don't care if she regrets what she did. Go die in a hole as punishment. No I'm not joking. She needs to go in a hole and die in it. The baby causes the problem. Awkward but somehow not surprising. So... am I supposed to forgive NOT REDEEMED character just because she helped to restore the Crystal Heart? lolnope. Not even close. Not surprisingly NOT REDEEMED character and her friend are the key to resolving the issue. Which... I suppose isn't surprising. *sighs* Sorry. I really am. But... WORST SEASON PREMIER EVER. Too much emphasis on trying to get people to forgive NOT REDEEMED character, which for me, will NEVER happen. This... isn't the start I wanted. It's not looking good for my future in the fandom. There were a few funny moments and I liked the Flurry Heart antics. That's about all I can say about it. With that... I wait for episode 3 and hope it's MUCH better.
If you'd actually read the thread, you'd have realized that he was already called out on the early post.
Why not ask Discord to babysit the kid? He'd be perfect for her antics. Also, in all those years, Starlight never looked up her old friend in a phonebook (or Equestrian equivalent)? You think you might do that before you know, go crazy and start stealing cutie marks? You could have saved us all a lot of time! Although Rarity trying not to laugh made the episode for me. I hope she continues to have issues containing her laughter at Spike. One more thing. Shining Armor can put a shield around the ENTIRE city of Canterlot for days, but can't get one up around even the Crystal Palace?
First of all, if you don't want people to respond to your comments, don't write them in a public forum! Write them on some piece of paper and then throw it into the trash, put it on fire, eat it, whatever. Don't just spread your misery around and expect people to not react to it. Second... I may be a bad person for saying this, but will you just finally leave the fandom now, as you have so often promised? It may be just me, but this constant whining of yours is getting pretty annoying. It's obvious that you don't enjoy it here anymore (and all of that because of the existence of one particular character), even if you are in obvious denial. Maybe you'll be happier in the Punisher fandom or something, where "vengeance is magic". That exists, right? And remember: simply by virtue of being included in the Season 6 intro, Starlight Glimmer will now appear in every. single. episode. Have fun.
I found the episode quite fun, and I am actually excited for the storyline of teaching starlight glimmer new lessons, putzing twilight into a teacher role. Also, spike was great in this episode
Oh yes, the episode... Yeah, it was thoroughly enjoyable. In fact, I liked it more than I thought I would.
