Saber's car was, Marq had to admit, a little faster than the heavy limo. However, as Marq was a magic Unicorn pony, a few simple spells gave him the edge to keep up with the Chevelle.
*"Maya, here. "* *A potion meant to help her feel better with her migraines, but safe for the foal, appears*
*"Of course. Let me know when you need a new one. It has a berry grown on stars in it. So, don't try to make one yourself, if brewed without the berry it can hurt."*
*" It is pretty hard to get a hold of those berries in the Universe they are from, let alone in this Universe. Wonder where I went after that fight? I burned through so much energy in that last ditch attempt to save Azrael, I had to spend four weeks at the hospital. It was by pure luck I was able to get a berry for you."*
*"Says you. When you see your friends' life forces flooding into the Void, you'll do things you wouldn't normally think of doing. The only way it would've worked was if you had enough energy. That transfer had a low chance to work. I flooded the transfer with enough energy to make a good amount of difference. Trust me, I've done something like that before."*
Tires squealing, Marq tore into the hospital parking lot (which apparently, like cars, movies, and cell phones, is a thing in this Equestria) trailing barely twenty feet behind Saber. He pulled into an open spot and killed the engine, laughing as he stepped out.
Raven hopped off the hood, mane stuck back from the wind. "Okay. That was fun." "You should never underestimate that changeling magic," said Dusty. "A small amount from you would have worked. But thank you either way."
(Hard to say about Heart's Spell. It was designed to heal living Changelings, not undead ponies, so a bit of a power boost seems like a feasible explanation for that particular plot hand wave.) Heart Song got out of the car, holding a camera. "It was hard to hold this thing steady, but I think I got a few good ones. If the ones from the jump turn out, they should be just what you wanted."
