In a spoiler because there may be some of you who are WAAAAAAAY behind in Season 5 Spoiler So most of you will be aware of the CMC getting their cutie marks in Season 5 last year. Well I've just started watching season 6 as I missed the start of it... Yeah I'm an idiot!... and I just noticed this thing about the CMC's cutie marks! So notice how each of the three cutie marks has a background split into three colors? I initially thought they had just picked them at random but now I just noticed they are the colors of each of the CMC's mane! (Red for Applebloom, Lilac for Sweetie Bell and Purple for Scootaloo! Now before you all jump on me for being an idiot and not realizing this as soon as I saw the cutie marks... Cut me some slack! I'm slow on the uptake when it comes to these things! OK I'm done... you can all mock me now for being slower than Tank!
Only reason I noticed was when I was watching the episode. Something kept bugging me about their cutiemarks, so went back and checked what it was. Then laughed when I noticed the mane thing. So no worries on not noticing

Is that seriously how they chose the colors? What a terrible idea. It feels like some artist was on the phone with a producer and the guy was like "Yeah, I want these colors right now." and the artist just cringed as he paintdropped them in. They look horrendous.
It's not exactly like color matching cutie marks and manes is a new thing. Half of the mane 6 are like that.
Slightly off-topic, but I'm sure that Rainbow Dash would give Tank some jet engines given the time, energy, willingness, cave and box of scraps. On topic, I never thought about it that way. I always thought it was supposed to be like the French flag, because the actual Crusades were done by Europeans.
